I've spent a few minutes today looking back at the lovely gift bouquets that I've produced so far since starting my business. They are so much fun to put together and it's the favourite part of the job for me 😍
Thank you so so much to those who have ordered one in the past. I have tonnes of flowers blooming now so please do get in touch if you need a gift wrapped bouquet 😊

Buckets of; lupins, iris, astrantia, snapdragons, cornflowers, chrysanthemums, salvia, gems, grasses, foliage. Cut and conditioning before being made into lovely bouquets for the shops tomorrow. I will preface that it is half term this week so I doubt I'll get to the shops before late morning! 😬🤪

Thought I'd post a short video showing my set up on Wednesday evenings in my utility room/workspace making up bouquets for the shops tomorrow. Once again, some lovely colours although I suspect the buckets will be indoors for at least some of tomorrow!

Spot the odd one out 😀 those that have followed me for long enough may remember that my husband bought me a Lego flower set a few months ago. I'm very happy to see my lupins budding up nicely and they'll be in my bouquets next week if not this week 😁
Also, please remember that I can take orders for gift bouquets for local delivery. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

Hello all. There are no shop bouquets available this week nor for the next few weeks as I'm waiting on the annuals catching up. As you can see, the perennial beds are filling out very nicely and there's lots of seedlings waiting to be planted out too.
As I've had a few new followers, I'd thought I'd take the time to do a little 'get to know me' post so you can understand a bit more about what got me to where I am today, as the face of Moose in Boots flower farm 😊
A few facts about me:
-I was born in Bishop Auckland in county Durham. Lived in the Wooler area from 2-9yrs.
-We then moved to Lyon, France for 1 year. This was a rollercoaster experience! From making new friends, experiencing life in a big city (having moved from Wooler, it was a culture shock to be sure!) to periods of high stress and a short amount of time being homeless living in a shelter run by nuns I believe.
- I was home educated from ages 11-16 yrs.
- I had a pen pal in Colorado when I was 14/15 yrs old and even flew alone to the US to visit him and his family! Not something I'd let our 14yr old son do but it was an amazing experience.
- I married my wonderful husband Eddie at the tender age of 17 and 15 years later, we have the pleasure of raising a 14yr old son, and two daughters who are 11 and 13. As you can tell, we had 3 children within just over 3 years (thankfully we were much younger then!)
- I am a committee member for the local north Northumberland branch of the National Autistic Society. Having received lots of support over the years, it's a pleasure to be on this committee team helping to support other families whose lives are touched and affected by autism, like we are.
- Having been around family members with additional needs since I was 6yrs old, I presumed that working in a school to support such children would be my path. However, after completing my certificate to work in schools, I quickly realised it was something I was good at but not what I wanted to do. And the floristry dream that had always been there showed itself again and something pushed me towards it. And here we are today 😊
- I've always been happiest/most comfortable in my wellies with soil in my fingernails. I think growing up with my grandparents who always took me down to the allotment had a big effect on me as well as gardening and allotmenting (is that a word!?) being a part of my home education routine. Nowadays, you'll most likely find me with my wellies, knee pads and headphones on, listening to a podcast or audio book whilst I work.
And a few other random facts about me to finish.
- I'm obsessed with the TV show Outlander. If you haven't tried it, you really should. Such an amazing story.
-I always watch out for the arrival of the swallows and house martins. It tells me that warmer weather is on its way!
- I HAVE to acknowledge every beautiful sunrise or sunset and I force my family to come to the window to appreciate it with me 😊
- I have a much younger brother with a 23yr age gap, he is a very young uncle which is something he likes to remind my children of!

So there you go! That's my life in a nutshell. Thanks for those who persisted in reading to the end! Thank you again for all your support these last few weeks. It's been wonderful to have some lovely bouquets to make up for you after the dreadful winter we've had. Here's hoping the warm weather stays and the shop buckets will be full again quickly.

Last bucket of tulips for this season! There will be limited bouquets available tomorrow. I haven't yet decided which shop/shops I'll put them in nor have I worked out how many I can make up but I'll let you know in the morning. They've been lovely this year, as always 😍🌷

Bouquets made up and ready to go out for delivery to Lowick Village Store, Cornhill Village Shop & Post Office and Florin of Wooler this week. I'm aware that a lot of customers probably don't look at the back of my bouquet cards but it does have some helpful info for first time buyers. Also, just to reiterate the card's information, some bouquets will still be in bud. This means they'll last longer in the vase but may not be open just yet. I hope you'll appreciate that these tulip heads do open up amazingly, way larger than supermarket bought, industrially produced tulips 😍 enjoy!

First image, Cafe Maelmin, Milfield, second image Florin of Wooler -the lovely Julie bought a bouquet before the bucket was on the stand 😄 and third image Lowick Village Store. Many of the tulips are still in bud but just about to burst. Enjoy!

The first of my tulips and narcissi are conditioning before they go into vases to be enjoyed at No.1 Hotel Wooler and The Old Smithy. Don't worry, as soon as I have enough stock to put in to my lovely local shops, I will! Shouldn't be too much longer🤞💐
