Congratulations to Kat and Byron on their beautiful American Rhythm debut last weekend 🤩
Rhythm dance styles, including Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, and Mambo, emphasize rhythm, energy, and expressive movement, blending Latin, Afro-Caribbean, and American influences.
Timing of American Rumba is different to international as the slow step happens on 1/2 not 4/1. American cha-cha is slower and the knee action is more gradual. Swing is softer and slower than Jive. Bolero is a unique elegant combination of Rumba with Waltz-like fall and rise. Mambo is a fun Cuban dance and is typically danced on 2.
There is no Paso and Samba in American Rhythm group.

Following our tradition, the Christmas Party on 14 December will include a friendly amateur competition, where any student can partner any other student. You can enter the competition with your own partner or ask someone on the night.
😎Strictly NO TEACHERS are allowed to take part.
