‘Enjoy’ is a strange word to use with regard to a funeral. Yet that is what I aim to happen. I want families to enjoy the process and to feel that the service was something special. Reviews and messages like this show that clearly it is working.

This arrived at the funeral directors this week. This will go down nicely this Christmas! 🍾🥂

“ I would like to thank you for ⭐️⭐️⭐️’s funeral last Tuesday. On a very sad day, everyone who attended were complementary about the service and we feel it was a celebration of ⭐️⭐️⭐️’s life which he would have appreciated.

With Christmas fast approaching and as a thank you to you all I will be sending you a bottle of champagne each.”

This was unique. A documented account of the war and to include this in the service was so special. Using her own words felt really powerful and poignant. It was a pleasure to lead this service.

A wonderful poem called ‘Christmas Without You’.

I always loved icicles as a kid. There was something special about how they were formed. This little poem, I like, as it reminds me how the icicle forms drop by drop. The same way tears fall.

Life throws unexpected things at us. To miss the funeral of a much loved relative was not an option. A simple video call meant so much and was a pleasure to be able to help. Another lovely family that I was honoured to work with.

Sadly I do not know who wrote this poem. The sentiment is lovely and for many people Christmas can be difficult. Just remember that you will be alright!

Such a wonderful family. It was an honour to conduct the funeral service and then the interment a few days later. This job is made so much better when you work with lovely people.
