On our recent trip to the beautiful Republic of Ireland 🇮🇪🍀we caught up with the team at in Killarney to see what the hotel had to offer clients for 2022/2023 and beyond

Next up on our visits was L’oscar, a 5* hotel designed by a French man. The attention to detail is impeccable, their glasses embossed, subtle detail with 495 crystal birds around the hotel😍

The hotel can offer a boardroom with built in AV suitable for up to 26 delegates.

Alternatively, the Library is a flexible room that can offer:
* 70 x standing for canapé and cocktail receptions
* 80 x theatre

Large corporate events can take place without restrictions from next Monday 19th July.

All lockdown restrictions will be lifted meaning both indoor and outdoor events can go ahead, without capacity limits or social distancing.

However, we will always advise that multiple measures are put in place to ensure the safety of delegates. COVID-19 specific risk assessments are part of our complimentary service and always will be.
 
We are ready more than ever to help clients find the most suitable venue and destination for their live events.

With Covid-19 status certification being encouraged, more vaccines rolling out and rapid testing readily available, the event industry will safely make a comeback🙏

Above are some of the less obvious considerations that we think are important when choosing your venue and booking your live events, from the venue selection, to the delegate invitations and registrations.

We must plan for every option in this fast changing period and ensure that you choose a venue that can be suitable for all options🤯

For the more obvious considerations, we question whether the venue is ...

-large enough with plenty of available sqm to allow for covid testing and last minute social distancing
- easily accessible without public transport
- equipped with high tech AV and capable of switch to hybrid or to virtual last minute
-flexible with it's t's & c's to allow for change without losing deposits

With our event industry having changed significantly in the past year,
these are our predictions here at VfB of the future trends that will be key to help events
bounce back:

✨SUSTAINABILITY: A focus on plastic free events and reducing our carbon footprint by using local suppliers, as well as building the local economy back up. It will also be important to
incorporate CSR initiatives into your event objectives. More to come on this hot topic...

✨SOCIAL DISTANCING: whether it be 1m or 1.5m, this regulation MAY be essential to enable events to kickstart.

✨TECHNOLOGY: venues & hotels globally will be upgrading their AV & Tech equipment to allow for successful & seamless
hybrid events. Hybrid events will be here to stay for a while! In line with sustainability, paper handouts/agenda will be replaced by digital collateral & apps.

✨FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION: Venues & hotels will amend their policies with flexible cancellation terms and allow you to reschedule your event if needed, at no extra cost.

✨LOW RISK DESTINATIONS: Business events to be held in destinations that have been successful at controlling The Corona Virus, these destinations will likely be without quarantine for business purposes and will be more popular for the MICE industry & Corporate events.

✨CVB support: Support from local Convention Bureaus, working in collaboration to revamp local economies and keep delegates safe.
