How great is this button hole from and David's wedding? Designed to fit in the top pocket like a picker square, it incorporates the sunflowers used in the bridal flowers and lego pieces to match the wedding day theme
I was so thrilled that I was given one to wear too!
I read this post on Reddit recently, and it made me disappointed for two reasons.
Firstly - don't over analyse your wedding day.
Secondly, and more relevant, this issue could have been avoided if he'd hired a professional master of ceremonies - someone with genuine experience and expertise in public speaking and microphone use.
Before the speeches I check in with every speaker, show them exactly how to hold the microphone, and a few tips and tricks.
During the speeches I'm out of the pictures, but close enough to rectify any problems.
Don't lament on Reddit...hire the for your
Its National "Stand In Front Of Front Doors" Day - and that's something that I do a lot of!
Whether it's greeting the bridal car, welcoming your guests, or acting as concierge it makes such a difference to have the at the door
Good luck to all those going back to school today - or going for the first time. It's such a pleasure to see so many former brides and grooms from my 35 years in the business with their growing families
What does the do?
Well, on Saturday I...
Sorted the coffee machine
Operated the bubble gun
Stood in the road so the bride and groom could be photographed
Ran a photo dash - with music
Carried a lego seating plan (carefully)
What can I do for you on your wedding day?
Where do I even start with yesterday's wedding for and David Watford?
I've known the bride since...Well, since her parents were dating! The wedding day was the end of a long personal journey for Alice, and the beginning of a wonderful new one, especially with baby Doris due in a few months.
There was Lego everywhere, wonderful suppliers (no tags - sorry!) And Marty McFly sang the first dance.
For me it was an incredible day reconnecting with old friends - and one of the bridesmaids is my Goddaughter!
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Watford!
The kind words keep.coming! This was such a lovely day looking after Jamie and
I certainly get my steps in on a wedding day!
More pictures from Saturday (I'm so grateful to both photographers)
Escorting the Mother of the Bride is an infrequent task for me, but one I'm always proud to undertake
Bubbles rather than confetti this time, which made it "safer" for me to walk through before the bride and groom!
was not just the Groom's mum, she was also the one who found me at a wedding fair and booked me for the wedding day.
Looks like Tess doesn't regret her decision!
Every single word of this review hit me right in the feels!
Thank you .pates for these lovely words and the stunning portraits!
"Lets go and take some pictures of you" is possibly my favourite thing to hear from a photographer on a wedding day!
Its not about my ego, its hard to get pictures of me working as my day is spent keeping out of photographs - as it is all about the bride and groom
A massive thank you to Christine Pates for these wonderful portraits!
Here's a little photo dump of all the "other" pics from Saturday's
1. Handmade bunting - and the venue has hooks EVERYWHERE! Such a great touch
2. isn't just a wedding venue - it has its own airfield!
3. Me looking all rustic
4. Beautifully decorated cake -"finally married" after 17 years!
5. Instead of confetti, we did bubbles...so I brought some spares. My hat makes great storage
6. Crocheted flowers ftw
7. A touching tribute to absent family
8. A tender moment! It's best not to take yourself - or pictures - too seriously! The bride's expression is so perfect!
As a full time events and hospitality freelancer, I am privileged to have worked at, and experienced, some incredible events.
Two years ago, I met the quite wonderful Canadian shotputter when she won gold at Birmingham2022.
She's now in Paris to compete for Olympic gold
Good luck Sarah!
It's not just a weekend side hustle for me!
Someone suggested this weekend that as the I am a luxury supplier. Someone else suggested I should charge more.
Luxury?
Essential?
Premium?
Where would you place me?
You give me all the feels when you compliment me as we say goodbye!
To have the bride's sister one day, and the groom's mum the other say such nice things really was the icing on the cake!
Two gorgeous days, two lovely comments!
Thank you ladies!
A blending of two families and three cultures yesterday for Palla and Antonio's Hindu marriage, with nods to their relatives and backgrounds. Watching the two grandmas embrace for the Milni will stay with me forever. My thanks to Raj our priest who guided me and the other suppliers for a truly team effort!

Personality, pipes, and personal touches!
It was a long time coming, but Abby and Jamie finally tied the knot in Saturday with a wonderfully relaxed day, surrounded by family and friends. The setting was perfect, the decorations handmade - and the bubbles were so much fun! The piper was a nod to Jamie's heritage - as were the handmade men's MacGregor tartan attire, and even I joined in with my own clan tartan!
A super day in the sunshine, with super people!

What a week that was - for me, for my guests and for cricket! 🏏
Last week saw me spend five days at one of the best cricket grounds in the country for the third test against the West Indies. Two days of preparation followed by three days in service for a very special group - friends and family of the England Test Team.
As ever, the service had to be perfect and on time, with very tight timescales dictated by the game, but with my team, we not only delivered but received fantastic feedback!
Its for me - I work special events all the time, so why not get in touch with me to discuss how I can bring this level of service to your wedding or celebration
It was a trip to a large plant manufacturer yesterday to help with a dinner for 200 - students prize winners plus parents and mentors.
By working as a freelance hospitality manager I get to travel to other venues, see how different clients deliver service, and to hone my skills - including being hands on in service.
And I got to meet again!

I've just been booked for a wedding (straight off Google - very exciting!) Where part of my duties will include taking care of the bride and groom's dogs, so of course I asked for a pic of the dogs as confirmation of the deposit being paid!
Moving forward, all confirmations will require a dog pic...
Meanwhile, here's me with dogs as Butler, Silverball Leisure and as Silverball Country
I'm beyond thrilled to have been sent these candid shots from Lorna and Tony's recent wedding at FC
It's always so special to be sent pics 🙂🎩
How's this for a Prom arrival? Yes, that's a double decker bus with just one person on it!
What do you think? Better than a limo?
Cricket, prom, wedding
Prom, prom, prom
6 days, 4 venues, 6 events, 600+ guests
It's for me, but it is a full time job!

A little shot from Saturday's wedding. We're always looking for special and unique placers to get couple shots on a , but how about the Home Dressing Room of your favourite football team for unique?

Do you recognise the shirts?
A slightly different booking for me yesterday - hired directly by the catering team to be Master of Ceremonies I offered them the "full package" which came as a nice surprise for and Lorna and Tony!
Lifeling Wokves fans, there was only one choice of for their , which meant pitch side photos and a cheeky dressing room selfie!
Thank you to the team at Wolves for making me so welcome, and congratulations Lorna and Tony!
I love to go out and visit wedding venues to increase my own knowledge and just to have a look around! Last night I visited the simply gorgeous Hogarths Stone Manor in Kidderminster. Tucked away in the Worcestershire countryside, from the moment I walked in the door I felt a great vibe and I must comment on the incredibly welcoming staff!
At Stone Manor, they don't just have a beautiful and flexible inside room - perfect for your weeding breakfast and evening party but they also have outside ceremony space in their fairly simple but breathtaking grounds.
If you visit this venue, be sure to see the set up at the Pump Room, which is one of the nicest outdoor areas that I have seen!
If you're looking for your perfect setting - give the team at Stone Manor a call and pay them a visit!
The venue would also really suit having a wedding butler too!
Just for fun - and as a challenge - let's go for a walk through my camera roll, which seems to reflect how random my life can be!
1. A wonderful portrait by - one of my absolute favourites
2. Working as a relief manager at a local hotel, I got to say goodbye to a colleague I've known for 5 years!
3. Race day! Working of course!
4. With Absolute Radio Country presenter Baylen Leonard, marking his birthday last week
5. BTS pic of at work!
6. Working alongside recently
7. Yes, I'm a very professional, sensible Butler!
8. I have quite a collection of selfies at football stadia - can you guess where?
9. Pre wedding meeting at the GORGEOUS .puckruphall
10. Leicester City end of season - I met Jamie Vardy that day!
I love how varied my days - and my selfies - can be!
The Father of the Bride is a very traditional role at a wedding, with the concept of "who gives this woman", but although we thrust Dad to be centre stage, I've never met one who wasn't slightly overwhelmed on the day. When I do a first look, I brief the father about what will happen (ignore the cameras, don't hug over the veil etc) but most importantly, just for once - lose the stiff upper lip and just let the emotion show!
So to all Fathers Of The Bride, those yet to take the role, and to those who are a stand in to the role for whatever reason
Happy Father's Day

I see other wedding suppliers' gruds beautifully curated with styled shoots and professional pictures...while I'm just here living my best life with my favourite pugs! @little_lil_pug You might have seen a "review" recently when these two confirmed I give the best hugs! I'm not a stuffed shirt butler, I don't take life seriously - although I take your wedding day incredibly seriously! I'm always happy to extend my services to four-legged guests...

“Thank you, you were amazing. Without you the day would not have run so smoothly” Kerry and Steve, married May 2024 If your wedding is fast approaching this year, I’m sure that you’ve planned every detail of the day and are looking forward to the celebrations. Have you considered though, who is going to take care of all those careful plans on the actual day? Who will make sure that you – and your guests – are in the right place at the right time, who will ensure the confetti is available to your guests ready for that important post ceremony picture? How much is peace of mind? £450 for the entire day. If you’d like to have the same smooth day as Kerry and Steve, give me a call or drop me a message – there’s still time for your 2024 wedding! #weddingday #weddinginspo #weddingplanning #2024wedding #weddingButler #masterofceremonies #professionalbutlerservices #Midlandswedding #worcestershirewedding #warwickshirewedding
When I support the hospitality at a wedding venue (not as Butler) I hate seeing a bride and groom announced into the room... and then left to find their own way to the top table, seat themselves etc I escort you all the way - five steps ahead though!
Speeches. You know they're part of every wedding day, but that whole section doesn't need to be dull or stuffy. With me as your Master of Ceremonies, there's no banging a gavel or tapping a glass, no call for silence and no awkward fumbling between speakers. Professional, helpful, unique. Thanks to Owen from @jolvideography for this clip - recorded raw off the camera, you can hear the noise level in the room drop naturally as I speak ready for the speeches to begin.
help! it's not *just* the bride and groom who need a little help on a wedding day - I'm there with you to do whatever is needed, from holding an umbrella to holding a microphone, fixing a buttonhole to fixing a veil
I can't be there with her, but I can give advice to my niece for the planning of her wedding day on Friday 1. Mentally walk through your day, touch everything. Think about where it's coming from and - crucially - how it's getting to where it needs to be. Everything. Flowers, buttonholes, reserved signs, order of service, place cards - whatever you're having 2. Don't worry about....Well, anything really. As long as you and Wilf get married, nothing else matters at all But do make a little list of photos that you must have! And in life, if you get the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance 💃
Everyone's looking forward to the speeches on your #weddingday...but nobody wants them to be a chore. Here's three tips to avoid that. 1. Introductions- a skilled Master of Ceremonies (Wedding Butler) will set the scene and avoid award handovers 2. Time - even at 5 minutes each, that's quarter of an hour. That's long enough. Be ruthless! 3. Content. Avoid the really embarrassing stuff - it's your wedding not the stag night! Share these tips with your bride tribe too!
You'll need some online help with your wedding planning, so here's three websites that you should be checking out! 1. @bridebookhq - the number 1 wedding planning app in the UK 2. @canva - perfect for designing your own touches 3. Wedding-Butler.co.uk - to have your own personal Butler and Master of Ceremonies taking care of you all day! Who is on your favourites list?
You shouldn't look round a wedding venue? Am I crazy? No. Visit a wedding venue, visit a few. But when you're there, don't just look at the ceremony room, walk up the aisle. Don't peek at the dining room, make your entrance, walk to the top table. And when you are taken to the party room...dance. If its your wedding day venue, you'll know. Tag a bride and groom who need to try this as part of their wedding planning
How do you get a fun, classic confetti 🎊 pic that's going to look great to show off? Make sure there's plenty of confetti Get everyone stood close together with space for the bride and groom to walk through Throw the confetti upwards, not at the bride and groom Your photographer will love this!
The idea was that you'd hear how I open sparkling wine (#prosecco in this case) silently- but the drummer was sound checking...again! if chilled properly and opened properly, champagne/prosecco/sparkling wine should never pop! @morrellswoodfarm #weddingButler #masterofceremonies #professionalbutlerservices #butler #weddingday #weddinginspo #weddingplanning #weddingVenue #shropshireweddings #staffordshirewedding #cheshirewedding #champagne
I've bought something new, mainly for display at a #weddingfair - but maybe I should place it next to my #brides on their #weddingday! What do you think?
I was stunned by how perfect the tipi was at Wroxeter Weddings when I visited. Just imagine this magical setting for your #weddingday, walking through your guests - escorted by your #weddingbutler- to the top table to celebrate your marriage #weddingplanning #weddinginspo #masterofceremonies #Midlandswedding #shropshireweddings #staffordshirewedding #cheshirewedding #birminghamwedding #warwickshirewedding #worcestershirewedding #herefordshirewedding #gloucestershirewedding
Such a beautiful church for yesterday's #wedding, and so blessed to be able to spend a few minutes inside before the guests and the happy couple arrive. Simple but stunning flowers too!
There is a thread on Mumsnet right now about food presentation at the wedding breakfast. I was shocked to see at least one person suggest that the Bride to be was "focussing on things that don't matter" - if it matters to you, then it matters. whether thats how the vegetables are served, when the speeches are or teh cutting of the cake. Avoid these worries by having the Wedding Butler at your side all day - let me take care of the details so that you can just enjoy your day. When it comes to the speeches - well, here's how I do it!
