I have no idea who has nominated me but I really needed this email today ☺️ Absolutely buzzing!!!! Whoooooop!!!!

Nothing I’ve ever done is for the praise or the attention but sometimes it’s really nice to feel appreciated

I’ve just finished watching Kelsey Parker: life after Tom and at the end she says ”on this journey of grief, I never know what’s around the corner for me, I don’t know how I’m going to feel?!”…….. and I felt every word of that

It’s with a heavy heart that I announce I will not be planning another Fin-Fest.
I have done 2 festivals In total now and raised over £6000 for the BHF, and that’s more than I ever thought I was capable of doing.

It’s time to let Richard rest in peace now. This doesn’t mean that I’ll forget him but Its time for me to move on and try and live my life.
Starting with a house move….new beginnings and all that 🏡

Excited to see what the future holds 🥰

The memories of Fin-Fest will be there forever - it was everything and more. How I pulled that off two years in a row I will never know 😂 but I will be forever grateful 💜

Can we just take a second to say how well behaved the kids were at Fin-Fest please 💜

I was quite nervous with it being the first year they were able to attend and didn’t know how it would go but I was either oblivious to it all or they were actually on their best behaviour 😂😂

The girls in the photo below next to the flower wall were so lovely and polite to talk to. They took a photo for me so in return I took theirs 📸

And how cute does our little festival girl Evie look with her glitter and jewels 🥰

💜 Andy Townend for manning the Tombola stall and standing the flower wall and photo prop back up after it kept blowing over 😂😂

💜 Mrs Brown's Boys Lookalike for putting a smile on literally everyone’s faces - we love you!

💜 Ryan Reape, Micky Johnson, Donna Moody, pure paloma & The Latoyas for giving the best performances and getting everyone up singing & dancing

💜 Chris Stewart Close up Magician for entertaining us with his brilliant magic tricks (are you the reason a lot of the coins in the bucket had peoples initials on?! 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

💜 Friendly West Yorkshire Spider-Man For attending and keeping the kids entertained and allowing them to have photo opportunities

💜 Kids Fun Club Entertainment for doing the meet & greet and welcoming everyone as they arrived

💜 Ray the DJ…..just for being Ray 😂😂

💜 Bijou Balloons for supplying the balloon arch and for loaning us the sail boards completely free of charge 😘 they both looked amazing 👏🏻

💜 Ivy & Maddison for pulling the cart around all day and selling raffle tickets, football cards and merchandise. The best lucky lucky men in Yorkshire 🫶🏻😂

💜 Every single person that donated prizes for our tombola stall, the raffle and football cards (literally could not have raised all that money without you) 👏🏻👏🏻 JUST to SAY Greetings Cards & Gifts

💜 Chris Storer for donating a large amount of cash to fund the festival, which allowed us to pay for extra entertainment there this year. Which made the festival even better 👏🏻👏🏻

💜 Farmer Ian for loaning us his 50ft wagon so we had a stage area

💜 Graham Gill for proving us with the stairs again so the singers could get on stage and for transporting them

💜 All the local businesses in and around Hemsworth that donated prizes to our raffles that we have done throughout the whole year

💜 The White Horse Pub for allowing us to hold the festival on their field and for arranging the door staff

💜 F&D Leisure for providing the funfair and other stalls - the kids absolutely LOVED it. And for helping me with the layout of the field and spray painting the stall holder spaces

💜 All the stall holders that came. It’s so important to me to have market stalls there so thank you to those that turned up and helped us to fill the field 👏🏻👏🏻

💜 Courtney Mary Utley for providing everyone with their festival make up

💜 Nick the ice cream man for throwing a £50 donation into the charity bucket

💜 Every single person that bought/donated and contributed to the charity bucket in any way

💜 people who didn’t come but still donate money - too many to tag (you know who you are 😘😘👏🏻👏🏻)

💜 Charlotte the photographer who went around capturing the day (super excited to see the photos 📸 🫶🏻)

WOW!!!!!!

Where to even begin……

First of all, I want to say a massive THANK YOU to every single person that purchased a ticket and attended Fin-Fest yesterday. What an amazing day that was!!!!

The singers were fantastic - the entertainment was perfect - we had just the right amount of stall holders and the kids absolutely loved the bouncy ride and everything else that came with it. We even had Ray the DJ back 💜

The sun was shining - everyone was laughing & dancing. It was everything I hoped it would be 👍🏻

It went from 200 people last year to 500 people this year (if not more) - 🙌🏻

I was lucky enough to speak to a lot of you. I especially felt very humbled by the two girls that said they had travelled from Bingley to attend. They told me how they thought it was the best local festival they had ever attended.
And hearing people ask when the next one will be is so nice. It ALMOST makes all the planning and stress of it, worth it 😂

Well, we have counted the cash in the buckets and added that to the Eventbrite money and give and take we have round about £2700 and still got a donation to collect from the Fun-Fair guy 👏🏻👏🏻

My target was £3000 so we are sooooo close! I know a few people said they wanted to donate still so if you would like to add to that total please get in touch ☺️
