When my son was 8 months old I came across Splat Messy Play through Charlie's amazing classes in Woking. This is how I got here today... I moved to Dartford in 2019 and took this opportunity to start my own

Splat Messy Play venture for Dartford, Gravesend & Surrounding Areas! I am a firm believer in free play being the best way to build a Childs self esteem and confidence and what better way than through messy play (without having to worry about cleaning up the mess at the end)! That is what I do... I provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment in which your little one is free to explore, discover and create whilst making friends along the way!

What a splattastic party for Teddy today! Teddy’s mummy asked for peppa pig theme!
To celebrate Teddy’s special day we had a jelly birthday cake , fruit dinosaur, pasta Suzy sheep, angel delight peppa pig, miss rabbits ice cream shop, gooop muddy puddles and mr bulls afternoon tea!
The children absolutely loved exploring all the stations the tea making and ice cream were firm favourites! I had some many cups of tea made for me 🤣
The children also were fascinated with the gloop and enjoyed helping free the peppa pig characters from the mud!
Thank you for allowing me to celebrate with you Teddy I hope you enjoy the rest of your 4th birthday! 🥳🎁🎈🎂

I had so much fun creating this party and the children seemed to have just as much fun exploring all the stations! The birthday girl enjoyed the painting and cloud dough the most!

If there’s a venue near you such as scout hall or church hall please put your suggestion in the comments! 🙏🏻

Unfortunately due to lack of bookings I will no longer be running classes at culverstone community centre effective from now, I am very sad to be writing this, but that being said this brings me new possibilities such as the potential to run a Saturday class in Maidstone, I have enquired at a few venues with no luck of availability so if you have any venues in mind please comment below!
Hopefully I will be able to bring classes back soon!

After all that fun it was time to tidy and even that was great fun for this little one!

To wrap up the last week of the term we explored nursery rhymes!
This one was a very taste safe session!
We had humpty dumpty on his weetabix wall which wasn’t only great to eat it was also great to chop and work on our big muscles as the weetabix were tough! This little one was very determined and remained focused and kept at it until he managed to chop the weetabix he then shared it out 😍
After all those weetabix we moved on to “oranges and lemons” which again were great to taste both children not phased at all by the sour lemon taste a little sour but both wanted more 🤣
We then moved on to practice some more chopping and rolling with the hot cross buns! The play dough was also cinnamon scented so was another great one for the senses!
Then onto our Christmas pudding which was very very sticky and again smelt very strong and we discovered that weetabix dipped in cream make a great combination! 🤣 we enjoyed listening to Christmas pudding rhyme as we scooped up the “pudding” putting them into cupcake cases ready to have the cream poured on!
Finally we painted some flowers to help Mary in her garden! 🤣😍

Our Story

Splat Messy Play is the ‘go to’ provider of messy play classes, parties, and events for hundreds of children across the UK.

Our weekly classes are designed for children aged six months and upwards, and have been specifically developed to encourage each child to learn, discover, explore, and create.

With small, intimate classes, Splat Messy Play prides itself on its ability to provide an environment where children - and adults alike - are made to feel welcome, and given the opportunity to explore different colours, textures, and shapes at a pace that they are comfortable with.
