A thank you to you ❤️

Over the weekend I have picked up the keys to my first ever floristry studio and I couldn’t be happier! This feels like such an achievement after running my business from home since I launched in December last year.

When I was asked to create 23 weekly vases in the themes of 3 cocktails I was truly buzzing to get started! Not only is this a brand I love working with (and personally drinking their cocktails), I was also given the freedom to create the designs using my own interpretation of what flowers would best represent the ingredients to each cocktail! The dream 😍⠀

As peony season comes to an end here’s 5 facts you may not know about the beautiful flower 👇🏼

🌸 different colours have different meanings! Red peonies mean love, pink mean good fortune, and prosperity and white signifies bashfulness⠀

🌸 they’re a June wedding winner symbolising good fortune and happy marriage⠀
⠀
🌸 they don’t hang about! Peony season is short and sweet, lasting from April to mid June⠀
⠀
🌸 peonies are here for a good time not a long time! They have a much shorter vase life than most cut flowers, lasting around 5 days max⠀

🌸 they can change colour! Some peonies, like the Coral Charm variety, change colour as they bloom – just when you thought they couldn’t get any lovelier eh.

How can you not fall in love with these beautiful bright blooms!

They are my absolute favourite table centrepiece flower this time of year. They only bloom for a short while from May to early June, but the colours are just stunning and add the finishing touch to a private dining room ready to be enjoyed by guests 🌺🌸

I’m Zoe, a Canary Wharf based Floral Designer specialising in luxury table decorations for private dining rooms and events 👋🏼

My love for floristry started last year where I attended Capel Manor College in London to study an Award in Creative Craft - Floral Design. From there, I fell IN LOVE with everything about flowers, what they bring to a room and the atmosphere they create 😍

I’ve spent the last few years searching for something that genuinely puts a smile on my face and I just can’t beat working with florals, my lovely customers and I’m so excited about the spaces my designs will find themselves in over the course of this year and future!

Ukraine I support you 🇺🇦

Today marks 4 weeks since the Russian troops invaded Ukraine. I can’t begin to understand how devastating and scary experiencing a war must be. My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine having no choice but to flee their home country and rebuild their lives.

Flower Crowns also known as Vinoks, are part of the traditional folk dress in Ukraine. As a community of UK florists today we are showing our support by each sharing a photo of our creations in the colours of the Ukrainian flag - here’s mine 💁🏼‍♀️

Our goal is to collectively raise £1,000 for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to help the people of Ukraine. Fresh Flower Crown practice 👑🌸

Next Thursday marks 4 weeks since the Russians invaded Ukraine. Flower Crowns also known as Vinoks, are part of the traditional folk dress in Ukraine.

I’ve been thinking of ways of how I can show support and raise money for the crisis so when I saw this campaign created by for UK florists to raise money for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal I was keen to take part.

As a floristry community, on March 24th we will each be posting a photo of a Flower Crown we’ve made in the colours of the Ukrainian flag (blue and yellow) using the hashtags with a goal to raise £1,000 for the charity 💙💛
