I've pondered for a little while about whether to post this or not but have tonight decided that I should...

A few weeks ago, a parent told me that 'word on the street' is that my business doesn't need support as much as others which are 'small , family run businesses'.

Yes I rave about the Little City team a lot because, quite frankly, it's an EPIC TEAM but...

Little City - Lincolnshire is a one woman team... Thankfully with a hugely supportive husband and nephew who don't mind building and fixing toys, tables and anything else I give them.🙈. Well, they say they don't mind anyway haha!

But...

🤔 Who advertises the sessions? 🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who finds venues?.🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who runs sessions? 🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who attends training to provide the best possible sessions? 🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who responds to emails &messages? 🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who buys new toys for the city? 🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who does the accounting🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who has sleepless nights about bookings? 🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who cleans the city? 🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who brings boxes of toys into the house to clean them in the evenings? 🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who straightens the mannequins hair when it's too notty to be played with?🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who makes the refreshments at sessions? 🙋‍♀️ (With occasional help from my nephew)
🤔 Who sends invitations out when parties are booked?.🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who makes new screens for the police laptop? 🙋‍♀️
🤔 Who creates social media content? 🙋‍♀️

The list goes on...

I am having THE TIME OF MY LIFE running Little City Lincolnshire sessions and wouldn't change a THING! I am hugely grateful to every single person who supports my business from leaving reviews to making bookings and sharing my pages with friends and family....I appreciate EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU ❤️

I left being a primary school teacher and assistant principal in my earlier career to run Little City Lincolnshire.

As you can imagine, it was a bit of a gut punch when this parent told me that others had said they were going to support other businesses because they are small, family run businesses' and I'm part of a big chain 💔

I promise you that I am also a small business. Yes, I'm part of a big team who I am very grateful for but it is me who pays the bills, puts food on the table, pays for days out etc... (with my husband contributing too).

Thank you for your continued support. Please do support us small businesses - we all need your support more than ever ❤️
