Halloween is around the corner (well in our house preparations have already begun) and so I thought it was a great opportunity to highlight our more sustainable dress up offerings:

Welcome to February!

The countdown to Valentines has begun and my oven has been hard at work today. I’ve been blown away by the preorders I’ve received on Etsy for my Valentine’s cookies. Thank you, so much.

On the flip side, I will need to close preorders a bit sooner than anticipated to be able to send out orders in time for Valentines Day.

When I first met Jess from I thought that she had been a gift from God to bring my vision for alive through her stunning illustrations and ability to capture the essence of a brand beyond my own imagination.

Two years on, and one pandemic later, and I realise Jess was sent to me for so much more than this! Not only did her wonderful watercolour courses preserve my sanity through the darkest days in lockdown; but she also inspired me to take on the task of illustrator for my own brand. She was actually sent to reignite my love for painting to and to help me realise that I can be this for my small business.

So here it is, my first illustration for a new “fathoms below” party theme. Thanks Jess for inspiring me with your talents!

Oh hello. Yes, I’m still here!

It’s been a while since I’ve been active on and a lot has happened since then. Not only in the world but personally I have changed my day job (which now takes up a lot of my time) and we have also moved. So those of you that have rented from me before will notice my new address is based in Kent and not London.

Nevertheless, I’m determined to continue making celebrations more sustainable; although will also start focussing on a more simplified product line. This will entail mostly single elements that can be added to your celebration plans and less of the all in one solutions….for now!

In the meantime, it is good to be back! And here’s a sneak peak to a new theme. How are you?

Happy World Ocean Day. And what a day to consider edible party favours over cheap toys that inevitably come in plastic wrappers that end up in landfill or our oceans.

Anyone else having a busy season? Well iced cupcake cookies are finally on my website!

These cookies are designed to match our ‘Wild’ theme but would make great party favours for any event.

I always prefer edible party favours to a cheap toy that will only end up in landfill in a couple of days. We are also working towards making our iced cookies packaging plastic free.

Over the past year, like many other small businesses, I’ve taken a step back and thought about how I want to prioritise my time.

This has meant that my vision for Do Loop has adapted as well as we settle into a new reality. One of the changes is that I want to do more things I love again rather than focusing my attention on what I think my customers want. In my opinion people can pick up on passion and authenticity, and when you do what you love the success will follow.

Therefore, I’m proud to show you a new product; an iced cookie cupcake that goes with our WILD theme.

I’ll be listing these in my store soon, but for now you have a few hours left to grab some from before the post is removed! As an added bonus if you order tonight I’ll throw in free postage.

Throwback to when my twin’s turned 3 and I trialled our Wild virtual party kit for their big day!

This lovely “Wild & 3” cake topper was a test product I developed. I’m happy to say the sample worked brilliantly and I’ll be stocking these in my store very soon. Any colour or wording requests?!

The sweet baby giraffe however is already listed! I’ve used the giraffe as a cake topper, party favours and table decorations. My twins still play with their animals; so long after the party your beautiful decorations can still be used and don’t have to go to the bin after a single use.

Alternatively, our animal figurines are available to rent (and the cake toppers will be too) meaning less single use waste and less strain on your budget xx

At Do Loop Party we have done all the hard work for you to create products and party packages that strive to eliminate single use items with the focus on recyclable and compostable materials.

We have tried to think about virtual party like three year olds (and tested it on our actual three year olds!) to design our virtual party kits!
A Do Loop virtual party has everything needed to celebrate like it’s 2019 with a pre-planned itinerary for the party. A kit for each guest contains:

⭐️ a pre-party activity to generate that excited, anticipation feeling,
⭐️ one or two activities based on the age of the guests,
⭐️ party snacks,
⭐️ themed favour, and
⭐️ birthday cake / cookie

Virtual party kits are live!
After lots of planning and a trial run for my twins’ third birthday, the first theme for a virtual party kit is now on my website.
This is not like any Zoom call you have seen before. The kit contains everything you’ll need to keep even fidgety three year olds busy for about an hour. From various entertainment activities to snacks and singing happy birthday with each guest getting their own candle to blow out.

What is an important food source for birds, bats, amphibians, reptiles and small mammals?

And what provides food, nectar and pollen, shelter and places to breed for insects?
Wildflowers!
Wildflowers are an essential element in our biodiversity. Some insects rely on only one species of wildflower and once that wildflower becomes extinct, or severely endangered, then potentially so does the life of that insect species and everything else up the food chain.
Our plantable cards are embedded with wildflower seeds. It’s a small gesture that can have a huge impact.
