The team from ID Systems know a thing or two about inspiring doors and glazing so we were honoured to welcome through our impressive greenheart framed doors last night to enjoy their Christmas party 🎄

With the golden glow of massed fairy lights and candle lit lanterns guiding them in we were pleased to greet everyone with glasses of Prosecco and nice cold beers as they stepped into their party venue.

Everyone was full of chatter while catching up and grazing on tasty Broadland beef burgers, plenty of pizzas and loaded chilli nachos. Team photos were captured before dancing the night away to some classic Christmas party floor fillers courtesy of our House DJ - the perfect opportunity for guests to demonstrate their slide & turn solutions ;)

Happy Christmas guys 🎄 đŸ„°

With the dance floor packed the Plummers team were singing their hearts out to Celine Dion’s “ it’s all coming back to me now” and we wonder if that’s how a few sore heads are feeling today 😘

The teams from across the John G Plummer & Associates group were once again welcomed to Southwood to celebrate in style. All glammed up and ready to party this fabulous team were set for a fantastic night of fun. We too wish it could be Christmas everyday as the singalong classics and requests helped the House DJ keep everyone entertained. The lit up JGP from Norfolk Event Decor fitted perfectly between the trees completing the Christmas scene.

The barkersphotofun team were on hand with their 360 pedestal to capture all those dance moves and create lasting treasures for everyone to share.

With street food available for those with the munchies this was the perfect start to the holiday season. Some lucky staff even managed to win a holiday!!! Surely this was the best works party to be at as Plummers showed everyone just how much they value their team.

We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and take good care of one another for a great 2025.

Love Actually meant that it was time for the gorgeous Mr & Mrs Harris to wed yesterday and just like Preston we all know that love is a numbers game.

đŸŽ¶ On the fourth day of December,
my true love gave to me
Twelve aisle walkers,
Eleven jars of sweeties,
Ten candle lanterns,
Nine pairs of sashes,
Eight Christmas movies,
Seven gorgeous tables,
Six golden candles,
Five can-a-pés
Four ‘o’clock for dining,
Three delicious courses,
Two people in love,
And little Preston making it three! đŸŽ¶

In case it wasn’t clear their wedding day fully embraced the season as their families celebrated in their finery at the most important day of the year.

Their romantic winter scheme perfectly echoed our own Christmas decor with the green of the two giant Christmas trees and gold details on giant bauble clusters hanging from the beams perfectly blending with white candles on the tables in tall glass vases alongside golden candlesticks over ruffled sage green runners. Poppy had clearly spent so much time curating her scheme and finding the perfect pieces to complete her tablescapes. The Grinch 😘 had accompanied her on many trips to secure those perfect colour coordinated details and finally Connor could be impressed by the completed vision making shopping expeditions so worthwhile.

A nervous Groom was finally called to wait for his bride and she was well worth waiting for. Poppy looked angelic with large Hollywood waves under her extra long veil. Her strapless gown with dropping sleeves and fishtail skirt suited her perfectly. billdownsofficial was ready to serenade our bridal party as with a Jingle All the Way they made their way down the candlelit aisle lined with gorgeous willow sashes from KWF. As she walked on Dad’s arm her ivory gown embellished with lace overlaid by her veil filled the aisle.

Although incredibly nervous our groom nailed it with perfectly made vows. “I’d choose you in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I’d find you and I’d choose you.” Surrounded by their loved ones, all wishing them well Poppy and Connor became Mr & Mrs Harris.

As their marriage ceremony was complete guests were invited to eat, drink and be merry. It began with glasses of fizz, bottles of beer and elderflower presse alongside delicious canapés all carefully chosen with the slow roast pork belly in bourbon barbecue glaze a definite favourite. The party started early as just like any great Christmas celebration the drinks were flowing all afternoon.

The fairytale of New York continued as the perfect Christmas song was played for our couple to dance their way to their sweetheart table to a waiting bottle of bubbles. As their Bollinger was shared the speeches began. Sophie, Chris and Reece all shared sentiments of just how great this couple are and how perfectly their love has grown.

A three course feast was served with prawn salads, Roast beef filled Yorkshire puddings and Millionaire’s chocolate toffee tart all being devoured with great appreciation. Chef and their team smashed the perfect celebratory feast all being washed down with plenty of wedding cheer.

Little gold Lindt teddy bears were added to an indulgent sweetie table bringing such an iconic but subtle festive touch, the attention to details and careful planning so evident with the help and support of so many friends and family. More sweet treats were soon served after our couple used their Vera Wang Wedgewood silver cake knife to slice into their three tier sumptuous cake.

“Let’s stay together” was played and our couple glowed in the love of their day as they swayed together. As the tempo built more Christmas classics were added keeping everyone on their feet.

Chip cones topped with fish, halloumi and sausages were served alongside fresh fairground donuts to ensure that the traditional over indulgence could be enjoyed. Maybe Bad Santa was responsible for some of the evening shenanigans as an evening of fun was shared. Maybe there should a late night version of our 12 days of Christmas đŸ€”

We all hope you enjoy The Holiday and have a wonderful Christmas as husband and wife. May you never be left Home Alone now that you have found each other. December 4th will forever more be the best Boxing Day for you guys as to quote best man Reece “Connor’s never boxed but he’s been punching the last 10 years with Poppy” xx

David’s coming out party was held at Southwood Hall yesterday 😉

At least that’s what he told some of the guests as he greeted them at his leaving “do” yesterday afternoon. We offered to officiate at an impromptu vow renewal with his lovely wife Amanda but with so many lovely ladies in attendance he would hate to break hearts all over again!

Learning that his career was inspired by his local GP Dr Lloyd and his infamous jar of sweeties on his desk, sharing one at every visit, we were pleased that political correctness allowed us to share a tasty table of treats with home baked brownies served amongst a plethora of cakes and tasty sweet treats (with fruit for the health conscious).

The partners and staff shared a great flash mob ABBA tribute to “David, you’re so funny, funny, funny, in a Doctors world”. Before David then shared his own humorous anecdotes full of positivity. He will clearly miss everyone present as much as they will miss him as his final words were over beutiful music “an ending” adding such a poignant touch. “Stars are born, they shine their light, then they go out. It is now time for this little star to go and hopefully shine somewhere else”.

Dr Ledward, we may never see you again but please read past that to know we are saying that after our encounter yesterday we hope we have provided you with the warm farewell you need to go forward in your journey beyond Blofield. We all wish you the very best for your next chapter. đŸ„°

Yesterday’s wedding can so brilliantly be summed up by Daniel Thompson’s tale of The Giraffe and the Monkey.

“Happiness grows in laughter, love and in sharing your life.
In the arms of another as husband and wife.
So when you find someone who's weird just like you
Who laughs when you're stupid and who makes you laugh too.
When you sit on the sofa, not hiding your flaws.
As imperfectly perfect, as the hand that holds yours.
When the fortune of kings, or purse of a beggar.
Won't change how it feels, just being together.
When a cuddle and cuppa is all that you need....
Well then...
you've found something quite special indeed.
Wherever you go
Whatever you do
Whenever there's one we hope that there's two (three or four) xx

Congratulations guys đŸ„°

There’s no place like Southwood! There’s no place like Southwood! There’s no place like Southwood!

Strong winds blew in from the west, unsettling the surroundings yesterday while in the comfort of the Cartshed Lodge our lovely Bride Roxy was feeling completely self assured. She’d spent months preparing for her special day (featuring Graham). Obviously he had played his part (darts mostly) giving her evenings of crafting to complete stunning centrepieces, fabulous decorative touches and gorgeous favours. And now it was finally here!

The barn had taken on green tones throughout, willow sashes on every seat and an abundance of fresh florals from Dear Luna. Grahams arch stood pride of place at the end of the ivory carpeted aisle through their ceremony seats lined with flickering candle filled lanterns and white petals. Dramatic white swags across the space lined with twinkling lights completing the warm welcoming glow.

Blowing in like a hurricane Graham and his groomsmen arrived at Coronation Barn suited and booted to celebrate their special day. With their buttonaires in tact (and a spare just in case he wrote one off 😉 they were ready to greet their guests as they took shelter from the swirling winds outside.

Flamingo Amy Hair Styling and Lucy Morris started bright and early keeping preparations calm away from the weather outside as her glam squad put the final touches to Roxy’s gorgeous look - so much more than “that’ll be alright”. As the guests snuggled into the warmth of their seats it was time for Roxy to put on her gown, the dress she’d been excited for from the first moment she tried it on. A fitted mermaid gown with tiny buttons, layers of lace and just a touch of sparkle. All held together with the help of toupee tape!! 😉 Her glamorous headpiece made her look like a Hollywood starlet.

With three clicks of her heels (well trainers) she was transported to the cosy Barn to collect her thoughts and prepare to marry her man. Guests were entertained by Carrie - Event Pianist before she gave way to the opening notes of kygo’s acoustic ‘Firestone’, his melodic voice softly singing across the Barn. Mum and their Munchkin led the way followed by bridesmaids Chelsea and Bex in soft sage floor length gowns. All that was left for our stunning bride to do was to follow the yellow brick road as on the arm of very proud Dad Frank honoured to es**rt his daughter to Graham’s side.

Our Groom was left wondering ‘what is this feeling’ and we all felt the moment he laid eyes on his bride. The moment Graham had been waiting for as Roxy beamed with joy, almost levitating with happiness to meet her soon-to-be husband at the end of the aisle.

Their reading was so apt. Graham had always thought that Roxy’s seating plans looked like rows of little dinosaurs instead of chairs and now finally reunited they held hands as their friend Conner read ‘The lonely dinosaur’, a story that perfectly encapsulates these lovebirds story.

The rings were exchanged before they exchanged their (now even length) vows as Graham shared ‘you gave me time, love and unconditional acceptance. You climbed my walls and melted my heart’ đŸ„°.

More magical moments were created as our newlyweds were showered by confetti before being gathered for a celebratory group photo. All captured by the snap-happy Wizard that is Sam Gee Photography.

The Prosecco flowed in the moment of celebration before snacks were added to our rustic ladders. Warm sasuage rolls, southern chicken strips, mini jacket potatoes, baked goats cheese & red onion gallate, and feta topped bruschetta were all eagerly devoured.

Toto, I’ve got a feeling we’re not at Southwood Hall anymore! Before guests very eyes the room was transformed, as if by magic. Large oak tables appeared, adorned with green cheesecloths runners and deep emerald knotted napkins on each table. Pride of place were golden hand cut snowflakes encapsulated within baubles for each guest to treasure. We will be sure to add ours to our Southwood Christmas tree.

Like great balls of fire the newlyweds appeared, dancing and singing their way to Top Table as their friends and family cheered them on.

Like the Wicked Witch herself our camemberts were perfectly melted, bubbling away for our guests to enjoy with crisp, crunchy toasts. The entire menu was like something from a storybook; lamb fritters with warm spring green salad & mint creme fraiche, Aberdeen Angus cheeseburgers with moorish relish & chunky chips (with obligatory Heinz ketchup for our bride). Others joined Graham in enjoying chicken assiette.

Frank was the first to say a few words, the proudest Dad in all of Oz. Commanding the room he thanked all that had travelled so very far and wide to be here on such a special day. He acknowledged those that couldn’t be here, but were definitely there in heart. Frank reflected on the day he found out he was going to be a Dad again and then the pure love and emotional he felt the first time he held his baby girl. The hugs and support have been abundant across the years, supporting his daughter as she trained as a paramedic and faced the world as a strong, independent woman. And now here she stands, a beautiful Bride, doting wife and a wonderful mother and was excited to welcome Graham to the family - his daughter’s true love and a brilliant dad. Frank may have initially had his doubts that Graham could handle the family, but now he’s confident Graham is fully in the driving seat (although that may not be for the best 😘).

We think Graham got off lightly here
Not only was his new father in law full of praise for our charming Groom, even Best Man Mike didn’t have a bad word to say about his long time friend.

Mike was nervous to follow such brilliant speeches, but with the courage of a lion he persisted. He joked about the early days of their friendship, beginning as colleagues. Always the prankster Graham won Mike over immediately, admiring his creative ‘drawings’ and playful attitude to life. Despite the years and the distance these best friends still speak most days. Our courteous Best Man was even kind enough to return Roxy’s missing tights that had been pinched for the stag do 😂

Graham had been apprehensive about the secrets Mike may share and was relieved to get out unscathed! Although Emotion doesn’t come easy to Graham, the love and care he has for his new wife spilled out of our Groom as he spoke. She’s stood by him in his darkest times and has always been his safe place. She never judges and she even forgave him ghosting her early doors. Despite their rocky start and the challenging times this couple have faced our beautiful Bride found this Tin-Man’s heart and has kept it safe ever since ❀

Surrounded by their chosen family Graham thoughtfully thanked two very important people; his stepdad David and partner Lynette. Their love and support has been ever enduring and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as he confessed for the very first time how much he loves them, especially David, the man he considers his father.

Keeping the moment sweet Hannah hopped on her broomstick & delivered their dessert - moorish white chocolate and raspberry creme brûlée, delicious Biscoff cheesecake or decadent chocolate brownie. Shrugging off the emotional moments it was definitely time to lighten the mood and soon we were ready to start the party! We knew this lovely couple would be popular, as was evident as their evening guests arrived to celebrate with them.

The cocktails were freshly poured and fresh hot fish and chips served to satisfy the evening munchies. The most gorgeous cake from Claire's Custom Cakes of course cut beautifully and was soon devoured. Their sweetie cart was finally unveiled keeping energy high.

‘It’s not where you are but who you are with that is important’ In the middle of the dancefloor, fully surrounded by their loved ones our newlyweds danced their first dance as husband and wife. As a surprise for their guests The Jet Setters swing band struck up their first cords and dance moves that were defying gravity continued well into the night.

As our family headed outside, with a tap of their magic wands the sparklers were aglow but as the wonderful Wizard of Oz once said, everything must come to an end, sometime.

With your home landing so close to where it all began we hope you continue to ‘dance through life’ together as we know this is ‘for good’. xx

Once in a blue moon, the stars align, and two souls find their perfect match. It is super rare to find your perfect match but not impossible! Finding yourselves together on the eve of your wedding at your gorgeous wedding venue under the light of a blue moon is just the super special start that Connie and Adrian deserved đŸ„°

Being super-organised certainly pays off but still there is always the worry that things wont come together quite as you had envisioned. Connie and Adrian arrived on Friday and seeing the gorgeous KWF cheesecloth sashes diagonally tied to each seat in their ceremony space and matching runners and napkins knotted on each place setting at the readily laid dining tables they knew everything would come together perfectly.

Autumnal tones were added amongst special touches curated by their talented friends and family. Log slices sported pine cones collected on long dog walks and confetti collected and dried from mums gardens added the exact tones to enhance the dried stems in glass bottles and gorgeous Etsy table numbers. Connie’s vision was perfectly in place and she treated her decor squad with well earned Prosecco as they headed to the terrace to toast the start of their celebration.

The cattle never like to miss out on a photo opportunity and as Fridays sunset fell they were keen to be fussed over. As the sun set over the terrace the gorgeous full blue moon rose over the Cartshed Lodge creating gorgeous skies all around. As the light faded a rehearsal put nerves at ease, we just wished that some of the sashaying from stand-in bridesmaids could be seen by the guests 😂 If turning to see his bride walking the aisle on the arm of proud Dad in casual attire had Adrian feeling a lump in his throat we knew that their ceremony would be super special and were looking forward to hearing the vows they had lovingly written one another.

As guests settled into the accommodation dinner was served in Southwood House. The banter was in full flow and we just hope everyone followed our advice and that clear heads would rise on their wedding day đŸ„°.

Saturday dawned just as bright and mild as Friday, exactly as Dad had ordered. The Cartshed was a hive of activity as our bride and her entourage prepared, ably assisted by Bethany Rowe Hair Stylist and Eleanor Ainslie Artistry.

Wild spirit florist arrived to add gorgeous displays to the gold stands awaiting her, the tones of the gorgeous blooms adding such a refined autumnal display framing the meadow views behind their Registry table. We were so looking forward to Owen Mathers being on hand to paint as their ceremony took place - the most wonderful piece to remember the moment forever.

The groomsmen soon gathered in the barn, nerves clearly high in anticipation of their iminent wedding ceremony. From that moment on their emotional day began as a first look at Connie in her stunning Pronovious gown was shared with Dad Myles. A fitted long puff-sleeved gown with plunging neckline, a gorgeous cutaway back and elegant train. A cathedral veil with touches of sparkle secured from her ponytail added that extra bridal glamour and loose tendrils framing her face completed our beautiful bride. This dress was very clearly meant for Connie - no wonder it was the one that was chosen for her from the offset.

As Connie’s entourage made their way to the barn the autumnal leaves on the giant oak framed them perfectly. Deep burgundy gowns of her six bridesmaids added such contrasting tones to the champagne blooms and deep russet leaves within their stunning bouquets. Finally ready for their ceremony to begin “Better Together” was played and her bridesmaids elegantly led the way down the aisle before Connie, on the arm of her dear dad, arrived by Adrian’s side to the lyrics “And if I’m being honest, your first and my last name would just sound better together and probably always will”.

As Registrar Maxine began a beautiful wedding ceremony Connie was super excited and very keen to say “I do”. The wedding vows they had written to share with one another were exchanged “You have always been my happy place and I vow to forever be yours” made sure the emotional day continued.

After lovingly dried petals from mums garden showered over them drinks were served and canapĂ©s consumed as friends and family relaxed in the warmth of the barn while our newlyweds gathered photos in the grounds. Guests soon found their seats while Pete was ready to welcome them into the barn. Smash Mouth’s “I’m a believer” had Mr & Mrs Holloway dancing around the tables making the most of every second before making their way to cut their cake.

A very proud Father of The Bride began the formalities of the speeches. We are not too sure that teaching your new Father-in-law how to handle an AK47 is the best choice of activity for your stag! Myles shared stories of an idyllic rural upbringing so we see what our gorgeous Norfolk barn was the perfect place for their wedding. We struggled to believe that the lovely Connie could ever strop but knowing it was usually hunger related we needed people to talk quickly! Handing over the microphone and tissues to the man he trusts to be by Connie’s side and take the greatest of care of her Adrian continued.

Our groom shared love for all of those present and past, with particular emotional thanks to their family, step family and in-laws. Whilst the praise was heaped on best man Ben (btw we are glad we don’t live next door to him and his gardening habits ;)) the best was of course saved for his wife as he shared just how appreciated and adored she is. Having shared so many wonderful experiences we are just glad that yesterday was the best so far. “Happy is the man who finds a true friend and far happier is he who finds that true friend in his wife”

Ben proved he was the kindest best man ever responsible for a stag do that may have shortened his own life but we know it must have been epic as a the concept of a stagiversary has now been created. We also found out that if there was a problem with the band later we knew where to find our karaoke king to stand in!

Nothing fits a family autumnal wedding better than a hearty table carved roast. Nominated guests were sent to the kitchen to collect a delicious joint of perfectly roasted beef complete with honeyed parsnips, horseradish sauce and watercress as terrines of vegetables and lashings of gravy were sent to the tables. Our chefs did guests proud ably serving up the spoils.

As the moon took up its stunning position in the sky UPRISING arrived ready to entertain guests with their energetic sets. With pizzas and S’mores on hand cocktails and baby Guinness’s flowed to fuel those moves.

The moon's phases can symbolise the ebbs and flows of love and life. A symbol of love, eternity and life it was so apt to shine over you. Here’s to a love that is rare, timeliness and magical, we love you both to the moon and back and hope it guides you all back through our doors one day soon 💙 đŸ„‚

If we could offer one piece of wedding advice what do you think it would be?

Yesterday’s couple and their family answered this in spades by being some of the kindest and loveliest people you could wish to help along their wedding planning journey. Being nice to your chosen wedding team seems like such an obvious thing to say but these guys absolutely nailed it and every one around them were happy to go that extra mile to make it the greatest day that they could cherish, all expertly captured by Matt Dartford Photography.

Those all important traditional wedding sentiments were all in place, families brought together with the one common aim of giving their loved ones the best possible start in their next chapter together. To have and to hold (thanks to the groomsmen for bringing the glue), in sickness and in health (thank goodness that cold had started to lift), to love and to cherish (it was never in any doubt).

Our bride had the gorgeous winter wedding she dreamed of, a day deservedly bright with just the slightest of November chill. Gorgeous signage from Rachael Bull Design welcomed loved ones to Southwood Hall. Elegant blooms in the deepest shades of ruby from Fox & Fern Florist and chairs set with KWF sashes is the perfect complimentary tone brought her beautiful scheme together. Her groom took his place by the copper arch adorned with trailing amaranthus, astrantia and astilbe, full deep ruby roses and elegant avalanche roses waiting for the grand bridal entrance as East Anglia Pianist completed the most romantic feel.

Meanwhile she had been busy preparing in the Cartshed, a vision of grace in her princess gown with its delicate trailing buttons, chic Bardot neckline and a stunning sweeping veil overlaying her classic train secured by a regal tiara that glistened as it caught the light. Her timeless up-do and glam teardrop earrings added a hint of vintage beauty completing her enchanting look. The glow on her face was unmistakable as she prepared to marry the love of her life.

Before she made her way to the barn however it was time to greet her doting Dad. Both ugly criers (her words not ours) emotions overspilled in a way that certain moments command. Mum, sister and bridesmaids at her side their entourage were ready.

Her Groom awaited nervously at the end of the aisle with his brother dutifully clutching the rings. His anticipation grew as his bride made her way toward him down an aisle lined with flickering candles and aubergine sashes tied neatly to the chairs, casting a warm, jewel-toned glow that wrapped everyone in coziness. Eyes were glistening and a man of scarcely shared emotions may have succumbed to the moment. Overhead, soft fairy lights twinkled, creating an intimate, magical ambiance befitting of the ceremony taking place.

The Bridesmaids in rich burgundy and navy gowns, attended to their friend with such care adjusting the train of her gown so dutifully. A beautiful reading of “Blessing of the Hands” was given, a voice cracking with emotion as tears of joy were shed, a sentiment that left not a dry eye in the room predicted by mum’s meticulous details as packets of tissues on each seat were so appreciated. Our Bride herself fought back tears too, worried her makeup might run but her joy and love for her true love shone brighter than any touch-up ever could.

When they finally exchanged vows our Bride, couldn’t help letting out a sigh of relief. She pronounced her vows with confidence despite battling a little cold, an endearing touch to their vows of “in sickness and in health.” With laughter, warmth, and a love that filled the room, their union was sealed as they returned hand in hand down the aisle together. đŸ„°

Their magical day continued with a joyful confetti moment on the terrace, followed by a cozy drinks reception with warm smiles and even warmer tasty snacks. The warmth of the barn beckoned and after a rousing welcome guests took their seats marked with gorgeous cards beautifully adorned by Clare Warren Calligraphy ready for the speeches.

Little did we realise earlier in the day that we should of course of added to our safety guidance and asked guests to refrain from standing on the tables for a standing ovation as Dad’s speech was underway. Thank goodness mum’s attention to detail extended to the speeches and the boss had censored embarrassing stories and innuendoes were no longer. Our Grooms words were heartfelt and so befitting but had our best man read mum’s memo?

As the light began to fade the elegant candlelit tablescapes glowed as a sumptuous three courses were shared. Our Groom tailored his menu to just the way he liked it and we love him for it (and also for his late night tidying of course 😘). The barn looked magnificent, adorned with fairy lights that enticed fellow guests as they turned in the drive. The perfect backdrop of romance for an unforgettable evening of celebration.

Our newlyweds cut their beautiful cake, danced their romantic first dance as husband and wife and were showered with sparkler lights and love from their guests. Under a starlit sky, they celebrated with fresh pizzas and laughter fuelling dancing to our house DJ. Our swiftie and her friends danced the night away savouring each precious moment celebrating a true love story.

Congratulations to you both. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your beautiful day. Here’s to forever and always! đŸ„‚âœš
