Scott Spark (Newmachar Golf Club) heads into the final round with a commanding eight shot lead after a superb round of 68 at Portlethen Golf Club this morning.

Greg Ingram (Hazlehead) and Sam Hall (Styal) are best placed to challenge the leader sitting on 213 (-3).

A fantastic effort from our north east contingent at the Scottish Amateur Championship with 11 golfers representing 10 of our golf clubs securing spots in the Matchplay stages.

Oli Blackadder (Deeside) was the leading qualifier on -7 with Matt Clark (Meldrum House) and Scott Spark (Newmachar) tied second on -4.
