It’s that time again, the end of another Secret Con and what an amazing event it was! We had our first ever afterparty and the Karaoke went down a storm, we are looking forward to seeing the videos crop up for years to come on people’s memories. The prison is always a venue that delivers and from what we have seen so far, WOW! Both photographers and cosplayers have stepped it up a notch. We also want to say the vibe around the event was amazing, as organisers it’s amazing to see how much our community has grown during the 4 years since we launched our first Secret Con event at the prison. We also had our first proposal, a big congratulations from the whole team. A MASSIVE thank you to volunteers who always make our events possible, they are the heartbeat of our events. As you’re all aware, this was unfortunately our last scheduled time at the prison due to development on the site. However, if we all keep our fingers crossed and hope for a miracle, then you never know what may happen. It’s been one of our homes since we started and helped put us on the map and whilst we will miss it, 2024 still has one more event at Keele Hall in August and 2025 will bring an old favourite back in March for a 2 day event at Magna (where by popular demand the Karaoke will return!). Once again thank you to all of you who really make these events really amazing and possible.

After Party
Inmates! Are you ready for the very unique experience of having a party inside a prison!? On Saturday, the doors open again for the after-party from 7pm till midnight.

There will be two main areas for the party. The canteen will have a more chill atmosphere, where people can hang out and sing karaoke if they are feeling brave enough. The second area will be in the prison chapel, where you can really get your groove on, with the DJ playing a mixture of party songs.

Both areas will have a licenced bar serving a selection of drinks, with the service in the canteen limited to bottled. You will be unable to bring your own booze we’re afraid!

Due to the nature of the venue, the afterparty does hold some accessibility implications for attendees as the chapel is only accessible via stairs. Please check the event page for more details regards accessibility.

Please make sure you have purchased a valid ticket for the after party as this is separate to the weekend tickets.

TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE!! We are happy to announce a revised date for our highly anticipated event at Magna Science Adventure Centre near Sheffield. These will be 1st - 2nd March 2025. Hopefully kicking off your con year!

You have two days to fully take advantage of this massive venue with its various areas fitting Sci-fi and industrial settings.

On Saturday evening, an after-party will be hosted at the venue using the Red Hall and Faces of Steel with a DJ.

Good Evening Chooms,

We are happy to announce a revised date for our highly anticipated event at Magna Science Adventure Centre near Sheffield. These will be 1st - 2nd March 2025.

Due to an unfortunate clash with another popular event on the calendar, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Magna until early 2025.

We understand this will be upsetting for some. However, we remain committed to making our events the best they can be and feel this is the correct decision to give attendees a better experience.

Our applications for this event will remain open whilst we are working with the venue to secure a new suitable date which we will announce soon. Our team are also currently looking at options to see if there is the possibility of adding any further events to our current 2024 calendar.

As always, we appreciate your commitment and support to our events and we look forward to seeing you at the Bunker soon, and again in June for our lock in event at Gloucester Prison, which may be our last goodbye to that venue for a while.

This is a very limited capacity event so be ready to get your application in!
