A little heads up!
First of all I still currently have a few bits in our sample sale, please dm if interested! Will pop a post up of what is left when I get a sec…

Secondly I am also still taking some maternity leave, and excitingly my seamstress is also expecting a baby in a couple of months. It seems the right thing to do right now is to continue to embrace the babies and I’ll be working away in the background on a new collection as and when I can. I’m not sure when this will launch yet, it will probably be when Arthur is old enough to attend some child care, but I have some really exciting plans I can’t wait to deliver at some point. ###

One dress now left in the sample sale. A beautiful classically cut a-line dress with a full circle skirt. Made from 100% silk and light cotton lining, with Nottingham lace trim, she is incredibly comfortable and elegant. Really easy design to create and amend such as a lower back, and silk is easily dyeable should you wish to wear her again. Size UK 12.

Sleeves and bows also available as add on’s.

A little update as I’ve realised my posts seem to be lacking!

I am just taking a little time out as a new baby is imminent, I was hoping this time between school holidays and little ones arrival would be a productive one however it seems to have resulted in being sent back and forth to hospital with hypertension and a prescription that makes me feel a little 🥴.

I have however been putting together some ideas for 2024 quietly in the background, keep watching this space! Xx

Our gorgeous Teresa gown gracing the front window of !

It was such a lovely moment to be walking past the bridal shop yesterday and spot her in the window. Note my husbands reflection in the window shouting out for cars whilst I proudly stood in the middle of the road snapping away.

Elyse who owns is a absolutely lovely, and so welcoming. She also has a range of preloved and vintage gowns including Vera Wang and Temperly. The back of the Frankie Top (named after my daughter), made with Nottingham lace that is still to this day traditionally made with old fashion lever machines at a family run factory in Nottingham.

(Please ignore the bralet back underneath I photographed this look with our silk veil and don’t have the editing patience to edit it out 🤣)

Our feminine tulle skirt which can be worn over anything in the collection paired with The Alexandra dress. The low back on this dress can also be sewn into to The Iris Wrap dress, and a pair of sleeves can also be added.

This is a collection where you can try everything on and have fun putting together your favourite elements to create your own bespoke bridal outfit.

Pieces can then be re worn, styled into different outfits for different occasions. Who wants to hide their wedding dress away in the attack anyway. Dye the silk gowns and jumpsuits a different colour and wear the lace tops and overskirts along side something else.

The Iris, simple but elegant. V neck with a trim of Nottingham lace, with the option of a low back and added sleeves from the sleeve collection.

Our hand dyed silk camisole with a matching bias cut skirt worn under the Nottingham lace overskirt. We have some lovely amendments that can be made to this laid back style, add a little lace trim to the spaghetti straps, change the buttons on the over skirt or even change the length of the bias skirt to suit you. Each piece in this bridal outfit offers itself to easily be re worn again and styled completely differently. A lovely outfit for a chilled out wedding.

The back of the Frankie lace top as featured yesterday.

This top is named after my daughter, Francesca we call her Frankie though unless our voices need to be heard. I like to name each piece with a reference to a important female figure in my life who has provided inspiration in any form to me such as kindness, achieving, creativity, nurturing, strength or laughter.

A lovely example of changes that can be made to our Alexandra dress, drawn up in a appointment this week.

We looked at spaghetti straps with a Nottingham Lace trim and added pockets. We then added an overskirt to be warn over the top and later removed during the day for dancing!

Behind the scenes from todays shoot (shot by myself @katiemccphotography) at Mothecombe Beach using the very pretty beach hut from @thefleteestate as some cover from the elements! Big thanks to the gorgeous @franlcbellasis for her ace modelling skills and @kokutan_ for the 💐 and styling skills! And not forgetting the Met Office for predicting a break in todays awful weather just while the shoot was taking place. Just as the tide and rain came in when we finished shooting, the tastiest of coffees from @schoolhousedevon were very much enjoyed before we headed home. Frankie and I went to @properjobreuse in Chagford today to hunt out some vintage champagne glasses and tea cups to use in bridal appointments and found some real treasures. We then went on to treat ourselves to a cookie and tart in @beachwoodbakery a lovely little bakery that serves the most delicious bread, tarts and pastries. I’ve also been told they may be able to supply something really lovely for a non traditional wedding cake! Definitely worth a visit if you are over for a dress appointment.
