She's back!! Day 0 - 4 split check - both directions
Through the pandemic I did on body hoop drills everyday while watching shows on netflix and other streaming platforms.
'NETFLIX & DRILL' 🤣
By the end of the pandemic I had a good 4 split both directions from 4 at the waist and I could bring the 4 back in solidly to the waist again on my good side.
I also had a reasonable 5 split (2 on hands) and 5 with 4 on body (1 under b***s) was starting to happen too
All from doing mostly 1 with some 2 hoop drills while watching a show a day!!
Then I stopped training because the world came back to life and I never got back into the habit!! I was also in the gym everyday at the time and had significantly more strength and stamina. I'm about 2 stone/12kg heavier at the moment and I carry all my extra fat on my torso which means I need to relearn the waist and chest hooping for splits.. I think of it like changing hoop size! I need to relearn on this body size :)
I am back in the gym too (since last week) but I'm concentrating on building strength rather than reducing belly fat or now. I'm extra careful about how I think of exercise and diet due to my last history of bulimia. I'm actually really proud that I'm not questioning myself at all about posting these vids ever though my belly is on show. I love being old... I genuinely do not care :P this is how I look. I would like to be able to fit into my fave dresses again but I'm enjoying coming at health, exercise and fitness from a place of curiosity and vanity rather than disgust at myself.
When I do post on here, I tend to focus on hooping. Let me know if you're also interested in the gym/lifestyle stuff, how I'm shifting my nutrition or my eating disorder recovery. If you know me, you know I'm a talker and happy to expand on any of that :)
But for now I'm going to be doing my drills daily and posting bi-weekly progress vids. So the next of these is on the 14th Dec. I will progress faster than if I hadn't done it before as I'm retraining what I already know.
The next post is a time lapse of my D1 practice and more about the Netflix and Drill method of training. 🩵
