Why do I wear colourful suits to your wedding? The day before and morning of you'll find me in jeans and a jumper, but when it comes to your wedding day I will be in a power suit... why? Well, most importantly, the trousers and jackets have pockets, I'm easy to spot for your guests if they need anything, I try and coordinate to the colour of your wedding (as close as I can get), I used to get mistaken for the catering team in my black trousers, and well, I'm pretty colourful, I don't think I have more than 5 pieces of black clothing, so why wear black for your wedding day? The secrets behind the business

Let me introduce myself, I’m Sophie Walker-Sunderhauf, founder and boss lady of The Little Details by Sophie. I moved to Cornwall, initially, in 2010 to study marine biology and ecology at Falmouth Marine School, when I finished there I went to Aberdeen to continue my studies at the University of Aberdeen, but who doesn’t fall in love with Cornwall? Once I had graduated I moved back down to Cornwall, in 2016 with my then boyfriend, David, now husband, who is my back bone and is very much supporting me with this adventure.

Why wedding and event planning?

I have always been a huge lover of weddings (but what girl isn’t?) - I have worked in hospitality since I was eighteen and weddings have always been my favourite part of the job! I organised my own wedding and got married in June 2019 and realised that helping plan and being part of the best day of someone’s life, in the South West, one of the best places in the world (in my opinion!) is what I want to do.

In late 2019 I enrolled on the Wedding Academy launchpad course to learn the tricks of the trade from some amazing professionals and took a giant leap of faith and launched my own wedding planning business in January 2020 and thats when The Little Details by Sophie was born!
