Christmas is just around the corner everyone - where has this year gone! It has been a really hectic summer and autumn at Wonderfully Vintage. Thank you all so much for your support.

In the new year we will be moving to a new storage facility - we are so looking forward to it! There will be a lot to organise therefore we will be taking a break for a few months but we will be back, full of the joys of spring, in March so please watch this space!

In the meantime, we wish you a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year!

I have been enjoying a sunny mid morning break on the patio with my favourite brew, a slice of homemade fruit cake and the dog at my feet! (We enjoy listening to Radio 2 together!)

I keep promising myself no more lists but here I am about to start yet another one - this time for my son’s fourth birthday. With friends and family involved in the celebrations, there will be lots of cake involved hence the cookery books - I need some inspiration!

Hope you too are able to stake out a corner in the sunshine!

The pretty vintage china shown in this photo is called Briar Rose and is from our Royal Tara collection. it is a firm favourite here at Wonderfully Vintage.

Happy Easter Everybody! I don’t want to jinx it but Spring is definitely here! Ok, there is still sometimes a nip in the air (and maybe the odd rain shower!) but with the pandemic finally coming to an end, now is definitely the time to focus the mind on what is important in life and Easter is the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends.

After a busy morning making bunny ears, organising egg hunts and painting eggs how can I resist all those Easter treats - spice filled Easter biscuits, sticky hot cross buns, cute Iced gingerbread, delectable chocolate bunnies -  they are all so tempting!  Someone once said all good things come in small packages - they definitely knew what they were talking about!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Mother’s Day is fast approaching!

Time to celebrate our wonderful Mums and all they do for us!  How about a celebratory brunch complete with favourite breakfast treats such as fresh fruit and granola, scrambled eggs, croissants and cinnamon pastries - it’s the perfect treat!  In my case, my two little helpers will be on hand to give their nanny lots of hugs and a big bunch of Spring flowers too!

Enjoy the day Everyone.

Shown in this photo is a new addition, our beautiful gilded ‘Floribunda’ teapot, just perfect for a special occasion. It has been teamed with pretty ‘Prelude’ china from our Royal Osborne collection.

Happy New Year Everyone! It may be the deepest, darkest time of year but I do hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a lovely few days making the most of the Bank Holidays. Can’t wait for the longer days to come!

New Year has inspired me to embrace a calming new look for the living room. Having been in a constant state of festive chaos (is it just me?), we decided to purchase a pile of new storage boxes to be shoe horned into the shelving units. Hopefully it gives at least the impression of tidiness once the boys’ carpet of toys has been packed away.

Today I am settling down to write a few thank you cards. A new tea appeared in my Christmas stocking this year. I absolutely love it - Apple Brandy Tea! Sweet and creamy with a hint of cinnamon and hazelnuts as well as just a touch of brandy. It is just the ticket with a slice of Christmas cake!

Wishing you health and happiness in 2022.

The seasonal China shown in this photo is from our Colclough Ivy Leaf collection, a favourite for this time of year.

The first frosts of winter are here! It has been a long year and now that the nights are drawing in I must admit my thoughts have turned to lots of cosy nights by the fire! Today has been a busy day in the garden. While clearing leaves and preparing the vegetable patch for winter I have been dreaming of putting my feet up with buttered crumpets and a warming pot of spiced tea - absolute bliss! Might even make a start on that pile of Christmas cards lurking on the hall table!

Enjoy the Winter Season Everyone!

The bone china trio shown in this photo is called ‘Enchantment’ and is from our Paragon collection. Just right for a treat on a chilly day.

The eagle-eyed among you will have realised by now how much me and my family enjoy cake! This one is extra special although I hate to think how many calories are in it - one slice and I might need to join the dog enjoying forty winks stretched out in the sunshine!

Happy Lazy Days Everyone!
The pretty tea set used in this photo is from our Royal Osborne ‘Prelude’ collection. Absolutely perfect for a summer treat!

It’s amazing what you can do with a few feathers and an egg box! I promised the boys a craft session - how rash was that! I was hoping for a bit of peace and quiet for at least half an hour but it seems they are intent on making egg carton owls, complete with googly eyes and bushy tail feathers to hang in the garden. However, before I let my budding Picasso’s loose with their paint and felt tips I think I deserve this quick cup of tea - after all, we could be in for quite an afternoon!

Shown in this photo is our vintage ‘Fancy Free’ teapot from Royal Standard. The Queen Anne ‘Pink Roses’ tea cup and saucer is the perfect addition.

When the weather is doing it’s worst as it is today, with biting winds and hail, all you can do is batten down the hatches and wait for better days!  For some inexplicable reason I have decided to sort through my kitchen ‘bits and bobs’ drawer. (Can’t believe what is in here!!) I might even attempt a pantry clean although I am telling myself small positive steps are the key - after all there is no need to be too rash with the Spring clean!

Do like this Colclough ‘Linden’ china. We have just added it to our collection and it is already a favourite. Hope you like it too.

It is April 21st, we are a month into Spring and today is National Tea Day! I know what you are thinking, isn’t it tea day every day?? Well yes, but this is the official one! Apparently, as a country, we consume more than 165 million cups of tea a day! Quite a statistic! Celebrate the day in style - after all,  there is nothing more British than tea, especially when it includes cake!

The pretty Royal Vale tea set shown in this photo is called ‘Sweet Anemones’.  Just delightful for such a special celebration.

Confession Time! 🤫 With Spring approaching my intention was to dust off the cobwebs by starting work on a new decorating project but as you can see, at the first bit of sunshine I have been enjoying tea in the garden 💐!!

After all, I tell myself, there is no need to rush!

In the last dark days of winter, we can start to see better times ahead. Springtime good wishes to you all.

☕ Shown in this photo is the Royal Adderley ‘White Daisies’ tea set and Sadlers ‘Cottage Garden’ teapot.

Now that it is warm enough to have the garden doors open, the boys are happily digging up the garden to fill up their trucks! Getting busy seems to be the theme for the last couple of days- outdoor furniture to be brushed down, seeds to be planted, windows to be cleaned - the list goes on! Tea and cake will help me get in the mood don't you think - it's the perfect 'while-the-children-are-busy' treat!

The china in today's photo includes our vintage 'Summer Rose" teapot and Springfield 'Fleur' tea set.

Both customers specified mix and match china which I agree looks very pretty. What do you think??

During lockdown my radio has become a favourite companion - sad I know but I need to feel connected! Today I have been trying cinnamon tea. It is caffeine free and very moreish. Just the boost I need after cleaning the kitchen floor for the umpteenth time - muddy paw prints everywhere! I love my dog - I really do  - but she is so labour intensive!

The cup, saucer and teaplate shown in this photo is from our Duchess 'Bramble Rose' collection. The beautiful vintage teapot, in a pretty pale pink is called 'Summerdawn'.

Happy Easter everyone!  Easter is the perfect opportunity for a special afternoon tea - sticky hot cross buns and wonderful chocolate treats - who can resist! This time of year always seems to involve a flurry of activity in our house, baking Easter Bunny gingerbread and Simnel cake one minute and then frantically filling Easter baskets and organising egg hunts the next. Maybe I need to adopt the ‘less-is-more’ approach but where’s the fun in that!  However your Easter goes I hope it will be bright and beautiful!

The pretty tea set used in this photo is from our Duchess ‘Chelsea Rose’ collection. Hope you like it as much as I do.

The simple pleasures in life are so hard to resist! Here I am again, preparing to enjoy a short break in the garden with some favourite magazines. The sun is shining so I have shoved the ‘to-do’ list in the drawer until tomorrow. After all, we all need some down time don’t we! Now, what shall it be - French Fancies or a biscuit!!

Happy Days Everybody!

The beautiful Colclough ‘Wayside’ teapot in this photo is shown with a tea cup and saucer from our Duchess ‘June Bouquet’ collection. What could be more perfect!

It's Mothers Day! Thought you might like to see my efforts for my mum. Since like me she loves anything vintage, afternoon tea seemed perfect!

Delivered direct to her door it turned out it was the ideal treat. I even supplied a bottle of bubbly!
Although we cannot join our mums indoors at the moment, we can all show how much we care.

Happy Mothers Day! I hope you all have had a lovely day.
