World in the Gardens sadly will not be taking place this summer, but...WITG and Music Worldwide event manager Gary Newland and Ben Street of Wild Paths will be collaborating once again to bring you The Lord Mayors Celebration at Chapelfield Gardens 7th & 8th July, expect a top weekend in our fine city once again!😜

Our festival was adorned by the creativity of over 100 people!

The Chapelfield gardens welcome us and our front decor panels were painted as part of “Bodies,colours and songs” a branch of of our outreach project in London, produced in partnership with and led by the artists and in collaboration with and where 31 Latin and Brazilian women gathered for 4 sessions and danced away as they placed their emotions into print!

A group of 9 came down to the festival and proudly showed off their designs, the group were part of a talk about the creative process and received an outpouring wave of appreciation, including some chocolate from The Big Chocolate debate and a headpiece given by

The ladies were able to have a wonderful time, meet some of the participants of our Norwich branch decor sessions from and a break from their current issues as they adapt in UK.

Supported by , we thank each of them for giving us such pleasure for having them with us!

When we think about bringing the joined efforts towards an event, it does mean to have an utopian vision of a perfect bubble, where we can share skills, stories, experiences and have a wonderful time!
The images are a proof we have ticked all the boxes as seeing families enjoying a whole day together, making new bridges and being part of one big chain of fun makes all the many hours of prep and post production be more than than worthy!

We have two items of lost property found from this weekend's World in the Gardens event. one tweed pattern flat cap and one black leather bomber/biker style jacket. For sure contribution to the festival was a real feel good vibe! We could feel the energy of their sounds all over the site and had even the people on our box office grooving to their music! Grateful for their presence and essence!

We have discussed our event with Norwich City Council and they agreed that due to our event being cultural and part of a refugee and asylum Arts Council England funded project, we were not deemed in bad taste. We are therefore going to deliver World in the Gardens as planned tomorrow!

Do support this event, the creative work Mariana Pinho has undertaken, along with the incredible content will make this a truly uplifting experience in every sense.
