Accidentally Matching 🩷

Beautiful pink and lime gift bouquets nestled amongst the pink chairs that are filling the studio for our workshop on Sunday. Chairs are from the very lovely Sally & Sinead at there for all your colourful prop needs for your event. They also offer full planning and coordination and I’ve seen them in action, definitely two ladies who you want on your team for designing and making sure the day runs to absolute perfection. Some would say the dream team. So glad I met them both this year 🩷

Hopefully the pink will pass the test for - so excited for the first of many retreats with you tomorrow 💓.

I absolutely loved making these bouquets so I might start taking more custom orders again! There will be a minimum as a studio florist I have to buy large quantities even if I’m just making one bouquet.

I’ve been freelancing so much this summer and it’s been so amazing to meet some more lovely flower ladies. Very excited to lend a hand to Gemma from today at a stunning wedding at Two Woods. So lucky that this industry is full of lovely people. Community is everything to me and organically mine has grown so beautifully in this industry.

Golden buttercups and glittery dresses…I’m here for it!!

I have a lot of calls with brides who claim they don’t know anything about flowers and so don’t have any strong ideas in their mind. This is when we can work together to create something that reflects the couple, their style, personality and the things they love so that the day truly feels about them. This is one of my favourite parts of designing with flowers.

I’m so grateful for the trust people put in me and it is so special to see the outcome on the day of what is created. When those designs come to life you can never truly know how it will look as it doesn’t exist yet. The creativity behind it has its own flow and there is nothing like the magic of the reveal. Seeing faces light up with happiness and or surprise will never get old. The butterflies in my tummy before I hand over the bouquet will never stop and I will never stop putting everything I’ve got into your designs.

Up early for a very busy day today… first stop the market for a couple of things then onto .store to create a beautiful summer window display and then I have a very cute Daisy 🌼wedding to create for tomorrow - a whopper 32 buttonholes and corsages to create.

I just love chatting to you about your wedding ideas it’s so fascinating how every person has a completely different vision. I love that every wedding I have created is so full of personality and completely unique.

The most wonderful thing about flowers is the never ending possibility of colour combinations, the choices that each of us florists make can be completely different just from one or two floral choices. Although I always try to give a good idea of how everything will look and what flowers will be used the magic really only comes together on the day - I will always feel passionate when it comes to creating with flowers but the ideas will never stop and nothing will ever look the same because of so many variables that effect my work - availability, seasonality, colour variation, display choices, vase options and personal choice but I will always take all of this into account when designing your flowers.

Brighton beach is being replaced with an Italian beach this week - I’m off to help out on the yacht he works on to get it looking wonderful for the guests. I’m actually really excited to have a taste of my past life and get my cleaning and provisioning hat back on. I am also going to be creating some flower arrangements whilst I’m there because of course everything has to be floral related these days. I will be on emails on my phone but I may take a little longer to reply for the next week.

First up freelancing with the lovely .floraldesign & today just love when I get to work with other amazing florists.

The studio is full of flowers again today (not these) - I can’t tell you how good it makes me feel when I’m around flowers. This moment is pivotal, I always gather everything together to make sure I’m happy with the colours and combinations and it then makes it easier for me to design. I love to see when the flower ideas come together in one room ☺️

A summer glow up for the Tap House Shoreham which was originally created by the lovely Honest Woman who kindly passed it onto me since she moved up north. Summer refresh with pinks, yellows and peachy colours with the most beautiful dried dahlias from Justdahlias

As the install is backlit by the gorgeous skylight I wasn’t sure any of the photos had come out ok but I couldn’t be happier with these images happy, ethereal and pretty! To see the true effect you’ll have to check it out over a pint or some food at the Taphouse - they are open all this weekend ☺️

Pink and yellow together will always be a firm favourite of mine 💕💛💞☀️

Good morning! I’m up bright and early, van is packed and van number 2 is about to be loaded. It’s been a busy few days getting ready for & Danny pre wedding set up today!! So excited for this one as I get to attend.

Thanks for all the recent enquiries, there is a lot of chatter going around about how quiet the wedding industry is this year and I’m going to be honest as a self employed person it’s scary. So to have lots of lovely meetings and bookings has really meant the world this week!! I cannot wait to work with you all on your dream wedding days.

Happy Earth Day 🌎🌱

I thought I’d take this opportunity to tell you a bit about the steps I try to take in this business in taking care of our planet. I am by no means perfect and constantly looking for ways to improve.

🌿- I never ever use the plastic floral foam (oasis) and instead use a sustainable, compostable version called or use moss and chicken wire to create my installations.

🪵- I recycle all the packaging that I receive from wholesalers except anything that cannot be recycled - something that my suppliers are working really hard on.

🌾 My main supplier has just introduced a 100% recycled box which can be reused and then almost completely recycled I cannot wait to try it out with my next delivery on Monday

🍃I use hand dyed silk ribbons for all my weddings which can be reused

🌎 All the packaging I use for my flowers is recyclable or reusable

✨ I try to avoid single use plastics completely and reuse items such as water tubes, chicken wire and use mainly concrete trays for my meadows

🌷If I use anything dyed and dried for weddings they are usually repurposed by the bride or I will recycle them into my shop

🌸 I use British grown flowers whenever possible from some of my favourites - although I can’t always get the quantities I need for a full wedding I always support British growers

🍂 I choose mostly seasonal flowers which means they are being naturally grown

There is lots more for me to do but I really care about the planet and I will always try my best.

What an absolute privilege and pleasure to create this gorgeous bouquet for for the photography farm who sourced the most beautiful Italian ribbons from - let me tell you ribbons make all the difference when it comes to your bouquet and I always choose hand dyed and luxurious so these were a big win from me!

💛💛💛 Unusual briefs allow the most creativity. I loved this one for 📷 Taylor Jackson] - an all yellow bridal bouquet! All one colour meant it needed lots of texture and shape to create some sunshine. Finished beautifully with the most beautiful ribbon from - specks of bright yellow dyed onto the ribbon with real flowers. Would you have a mono bouquet? A big trend I’m predicting is to have mono bridesmaids bouquets that tie in with your colour scheme - it looks very cool!

Happy Easter my darlings 🐰🎀🤍🌷

I’ve been so excited to share some of the stunning images by .kenton.photography of & Connors wedding last September at

My most Elegant & Romantic wedding which is reflected in the photography. It really makes all the difference when the photographer takes the bouquet for its own photo shoot and us florists will love you for it. And how about ribbon here looking absolutely wonderful. I can even spot a few of blooms with the rest of them from my top supplier

I hope you all have some wonderful plans today whether it be eating chocolate all day, fun with family or friends or a good old Easter egg hunt!! We are having a roast dinner with Rhubarb crumble for dessert from the gorgeous

When the bouquets are finished and sitting pretty ready to be delivered ☺️. The nerves kick in once they need to be moved and it is a very delicate process that cannot be rushed. I’m sure you can imagine just how delicate flowers are, they cannot be dropped, they need water and they need low temperatures. You also need to keep the ribbons dry and unwrinkled which can become the most difficult task of all. I use a vase or aqua pack to keep them hydrated until the special moment they are ready for their debut. I then use tissue paper and small bouquet bags which then go inside a crate which I stuff with recycled papers to make sure there is no movement and then they are placed lovingly into the van. For bridal bouquets I tend to have them up front with me where I can see them - they really are that precious 😄.

I loved creating these for the all completely unique.

Ive had a little update on the wedding section of my website and I am much happier with it you can now access each gallery more easily and their are some new ones on there too! Check it out ☺️

S U N S E T D I S C O 🪩💗🌸🧡

Congratulations to Karen & Julian 🫶

When contacted me about her wedding vision I thought this is a dream come true - sunset colours, ombré and make it big! Using some of my favourite blooms - Poppies, ranunculus & a lot of roses!! Karen has a background in design which shines throughout all the wedding details so I also opted for lots of texture including fabrics which really made the arrangements come to life.

This whole week has been an absolute joy and I’ve been pinching myself that I get to do something I LOVE this much. The whole process really lights up my life - I have filmed some behind the scenes which I will share with you too as there is a lot that goes into making everything perfect.

Thanks to my flower fairies who helped rig and design the flower clouds on Friday - providing all the laughs, skills and support. You guys are the best

I thought it was about time I reintroduced myself as some of you are new here ☺️

🌹My name is Sam and I set up Magic Flowers in 2021 after receiving runner up in a scholarship application to
🌷I would love to have my own flower/ home shop one day but for now I am focussing on the Weddings, events and installation side of floristry as this is where I can be the most creative.
💌 After studying my media degree I became a graphic designer for 5 years which helps me create beautiful mood boards for my clients

10 things you didn’t know were important when choosing your wedding florist… 1. Most importantly you must love their style, they may not have created your exact style before but you should be able to look at their work and really love most of what they create. 2. They know the seasons… seasonal flowers are always the best! If someone is offering you peonies in December you will be disappointed. 3. They have great flower knowledge - when you speak to them are they able to make suggestions & can tell you flower names and characteristics. This means they will know how to care for the flowers leading up to and during your wedding day so they look their absolute best. 4. They are passionate - the more passion the more you will get from your florist. Someone who loves their job is always going to get better results and put more into your flowers than someone who doesn’t. 5. They aren’t necessarily the cheapest florist - weddings are expensive but flowers are a living product and they can go horribly wrong. The cheapest florist might promise the world but if you’ve had several quotes that are similar and they are coming in much cheaper that is a massive red flag. It means they don’t understand how to price flowers which in turn means they don’t know what they are doing and they are not being honest with you about what they can achieve for your budget which is bound to lead to disappointment. 6. You can trust them. You believe they can achieve your vision and you never doubt that they have the ability, skill and creativity to pull off your dream wedding flowers. 7. They get to know you. If your florist understands you and your partner they will be able to bring fun or traditional aspects into the designs to create flowers that really reflect you as a couple. 8. You get on with them. Your experience with each other is going to be so much more enjoyable if you can have a laugh or connect with each other. 9. They are creative. This might not
