Events4kids was established by home educating parents of two, Emma & Steven Cooper. Thrown into the world of home educating their (at the time) 7 year old and 9 year old children during the COVID19 pandemic, they quickly realised how rewarding it is to be with their children and to be a greater part of their growing and learning experience. As home ed parents, they experienced first-hand how chall

enging it can be to keep up with the ever-increasing number of available activities. They relied on word-of-mouth, numerous WhatsApp groups and various Facebook communities to discover new opportunities for their kids. So they decided to create a single, comprehensive space where organisers can advertise and the home ed community can quickly and easily find everything they need.

Camping 2025!
As the days grow colder and the nights longer, I'm thinking of the 3 wonderful home-ed camping weekends we had this year and about all the wonderful families we met.

I'm working on dates for next year and would love to hear what you'd like from next year's camps...
Another Teens weekend? More organised games? What are some specific weekends to avoid? Keep it the same size or allow more bookings? Did you love the Pizza night? Comment on the Teen Ice Breakers? Music? Campfires? or anything else you can think of to help our planning for next year!

Want your child to know more about AI?
Learning about AI can spark their interest in STEM fields, preparing them for future careers in an increasingly digital world.

I'm sharing this post to gather interest for AI Workshops in January in Stevenage.

A 3-hour session led by an experienced teacher who has an MSc in Software Engineering and a PhD in AI.

These Fun and Interactive workshops at KS2 or KS3 will cover:

- Introduction to AI
- How AI works, concepts of input, processing & output
- Interactive demonstration - real-world example
- Hands-on AI project in Scratch or Python
Ethical Considerations - discussion on privacy, bias and job displacement
- Reflection on learning and Q&A

Estimated cost £25 per child

Not Back to School Camp!?!!
Yes, you heard it here! For the 3rd time this year, on request, we'll be running a camping weekend for families with home educated kids of all ages.

Dates are likely to be 13th-16th or 20th-23rd Sept.
Please add a comment below if you have a preference.

Prices continue to be fixed £65 for a family of up to 4 for all 3 nights.

It was so lovely to meet new people at this weeks Team Building session!!!

The fruit picking tunnels will be open Wednesday 5th July at Graveley Fruit Farm! This is not a ticketed event, just a post for people to comment on and decide to head there together. The Cafe will be open, plenty of parking, playground and sand pit free, pay for fruit by weight 😀 Get the last of the quiet time before the schools break up 😆 Comment if you'll be there and when so we can look out for each other.

UPDATE: Arranged Group visits are all booked up now. We'll keep a close eye on when they are next open for Strawberry Picking and arrange a meet-up where we get together but everyone pays the farm directly. It'll be short notice as they only open when they have enough Strawberries.
