H’s big sister and brother had written poetry and wise words for him

Culminating in a bubble toast to H by all as “you’ve got a friend in me” was played (as you can see he took centre stage and absolutely loved it)

30 years (and about 9hrs) ago I became a mum..

I’m very lucky..

Lucky because Jess changed my life forever for the better..

Lucky because I had love and support from family and friends through the good and not so good times..

Eight years ago today I began my Humanist Celebrant journey, beginning with naming ceremonies
🎈
I quickly fell in love with the role and so in 2019 trained to deliver wedding ceremonies
💕
2020 was well .. let’s not go there.. but with great support from Humanists UK I completed training for funerals
🌿
Being a celebrant can be challenging, self-employment is not always easy, there are quiet times, hectic times and the regularity of bookings is somewhat out of your control..It can also be a solitary role..

But..
It’s a genuine privilege to work with families and couples to help create meaningful and memorable ceremonies that celebrate and mark life’s important moments

I’m grateful for support from my HUK friends and colleagues..and my family and friends who’ve encouraged me, and given gentle nudges when needed!
