The new sign up form is live for probably the maddest event we've ever tried to put on... a micro jazz festival with 16 acts, in one room, on one stage, in one evening... The Kaitenzushi Jazz Festival, as part of Independent Venue Week 2026, at

This is the extreme version of the 20/10 format we've been using at some of our events for a couple of years now - 20 minute sets with a 10 minute changeover, to pack in as much fresh music into one space as is possible.

We're taking submissions for jazz + soul + anything adjacent. So if you fancy getting involved, want to see whether it's possible, and whether I will literally have a heart attack... The form is up at notathing.co.uk - or the link below. Xx

It's taken a bit of sorting, buuuut... Very happy to finally announce the student promoters for the 25/26 season of The Joint at Sela Bar.

If you don't know it yet, The Joint is a weekly night entirely run by (paid) student promoters, creating line-ups from their own local scene... so if you want to hear the best, newest local acts, you can drop into Sela any given Tuesday and hear & see something super fresh.

This time round we're extra excited to feature promoters from four Leeds universities - Leeds Conservatoire, Leeds Beckett University, University of Leeds and Leeds Arts University:

** Less than a week to go before the first Patches at Fox & Newt of the new season **

You might have seen, the Mascara's Lies guys have sadly had to drop out...

However Destroya are stepping in to the void - they've been wrecking stages all over Leeds this month and we're very glad to have them.

They'll be playing alongside Crater for what will be a massive little night in this mad little scene. Super happy to be working with Symmetrical Feelings this year.

Doors are at 8pm, bands kicking off very soon after and all done by 10pmish. Last buses and that.

It was an awesome evening by every measure - every single performer smashed it, and a capacity room of lovely people dancing and jumping. Just the best scene in Leeds at the moment.
