For February's PYOT at Sela, we're leaning into the noisy artistic side of Jazz.
Headliners Kawaiiyasu will be playing a full impact art-jazz set - supported by angular jazz fusion five piece Nautilus.

Put Yourself Out There is returning to @hydeparkbookclub this November... for another "X" night.
We asked one of our favourite Leeds bands @rushbonds - who've been having a mad year so far and killing venues wherever they go - to pick their favourite band to co-headline with...
They've picked another storming Leeds band @trunkgram to play alongside (and maybe, just maybe, with...)
Rushbonds play an ever more experimental set of soul post-punk... whilst Trunk have been called the "sonic equivalent of throwing an entire decade of music into the blender". We've ended up calling them 90s fuzzy shoegazemo, cos frankly genres are hard.
Tickets are £5 - online (with booking fee) or on the door - but you should probably buy an online one sooner rather than later as it might sell out like. Link is via the Linktr.ee in our bio, or the story we're about to share.
Doors will open at 7.30, and we'll be playing the freshest new tunes before, between and after, until everyone goes or they make us stop.

Taking the stage for Put Yourself Out There in December at @selabarleeds are the awesome Hyowa Project - a jazz group merging intercultural inspirations, classic funk/rock fusion and
contemporary jazz music.
Supporting on the night are the Maeve Thorpe Quartet, who I can't wait to hear live... they're an ECM inspired group with flowing melodies, complex rhythms and rich chords.
Entry is free as always at Sela - doors will be 7pm, and we'll be playing all the freshest (and not at all christmassy) tunes before, during and after.

"Skabrang is an RNCM born, Manchester based 5 piece jazz fusion band conceived by guitarist Luke Pudney. Originating as just a recital project, Skabrang is developing quickly as a fully fledged collaborative venture which is due to hit the scene on the 19th of September at its debut gig in Leeds.
As a new band, Skabrang is constantly exploring new sounds influenced by modern jazz names such as Kurt Rosenwinkel and Mezcla. Expect a balance of flowing melodies and grooving rhythms in a short but punchy set from the boys.
The band features Fraser Rowe on keys, Daniel Orchard on bass, Sachin Patel on kit, Matthew Hodson on saxophone and Luke Pudney on guitar."
