Congratulations on your recent engagement. We are delighted that you are considering Tuffon Hall as your venue for your special day. What could be more romantic than to hold your ceremony in the gorgeous atmosphere of an English Vineyard with picturesque views across the North Essex countryside. Afterwards you can enjoy our award-winning English wine with your guests on our sun-drenched terrace, then eat and dance in our beautifully converted 16th century barn. We’d love you to enjoy your day here with us at Tuffon Hall, whether it is for your vineyard wedding ceremony, reception in the Cellar Door or both.
Our 400 year old threshing barn was converted in Spring 2019 to host weddings, events and wine tastings. It can hold up to approximately 120 people seated inside and has a gorgeous terrace which benefits from the afternoon sun with a lovely lawned garden for people to relax and kids to play on. We have retained as much of the barn's heritage as possible, from the old beams and traditional red brickwork to the original arrow slits which we have framed to add to their character. The barn has underfloor ground source heating, so can be used all year round. The large glass windows at the front and back of the barn allow for as much daylight as possible, capturing beautiful sunsets across the back lawn during the evenings.
The décor is sympathetic to the original features of the barn, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere, bridging the old with the new. We offer a flexible setting that can be personalised and styled to create your own unique day and can recommend excellent local suppliers that we have previously worked with to help make your dream day a reality.
