This week we were down at The Block, Angel with Bearded Kitten for the launch of Pokémon Scarlet Violet. Extreme venue makeover to produce a Japanese funfair and street food market, bar area and gaming zone. Plus, we brought in Tomono Sushi Party to present a matcha tea ceremony / secret experience. Mix and Match Ltd. helping deliver our bespoke mocktails on the bar.

Lamb massaman in the pressure cooker, but can be slow cooked! The video shows the method, but here are the ingredients. ENJOY!
2 half shoulders of lamb (they fit better in my pressure cooker, you can use a while one)
1 tbsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp coriander seeds
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp lemongrass paste (all I had!) or chopped fresh lemongrass (preferable)
1 tbsp minced or grated ginger
1 bulb of garlic cut in half
1 - 2 red chillis, sliced
2 tsp shrimp paste or a good tablespoon of massaman paste (again, all I had!)
3 small red onions, but into quarters
Some finely chopped coriander stalks
2 tbsps fish sauce (or more if you like it funky)
400ml dark stock
400ml coconut milk
400g red or white potatoe, large chunks
250g green beans, chopped into smaller lengths

Using my @kulturedlondon pumpkin miso for a little late lunch, combination of fridge raid and low cost ingredients from the shop.
Charred hispi cabbage w/ peppered smoked mackerel, pumkin miso, spring onion & sesame
𝒟𝓇ℯ𝓈𝓈𝒾𝓃ℊ: Kultured pumpkin miso, rice wine vinegar, light soy, honey, sesame oil, chilli flakes
Brush the dressing on the hispi and air fry or griddle till cooked through (you can blanche first if prefer a little softer).
I chucked pieces of mackerel into the air fryer at the end to crisp up and warm through.
Served w/ baby spinach. Topped w/ spring onion, black sesame seeds, coriander leaves & crispy onions, and more dressing

Last night we were out in all our tropical colours for Surf & Comforts new Scents of Summer launch
Hosted at The Violin Factory at Waterloo, they danced, they drank, they ate and enjoyed the sunshine while surrounded by wonderful scents.
Our canapés were inspired by each of the three new scents, while also bringing in summer influences from compressed watermelon w/ calamansi to sea bass crudo w/ passion fruit leche de tigre.
Brilliant as ever to work with Jackanory Mix and Match Ltd. ###
A Birthday Party in Thirsk
Last night we catered our first event from our Harrogate kitchen. A birthday party up in beautiful Thirsk for 50 people.
Oodles of canapés and a two course meal using lots of Yorkshire ingredients from a wonderful hard goat’s cheese to lamb from our local farm shop, Tancred.
Lots of lovely compliments from some very happy diners... ❤️
