Those who know me personally will know I lost my Dad in 2020. When asked for nominations to dedicate cocktails to, I contacted with a few words about my Dad. Sophie came up with this delicious sounding “Howard’s 85” containing his favourites- whiskey and fizz, and released in time for Father’s Day. What an amazing idea and fitting tribute. 🖤

Just a friendly reminder: if you're planning a kids' party at the moment, whatever you do will be enough.

It doesn't have to have the perfectly curated theme.
It doesn't have to have the most thoughtful party favors.
It doesn't have to be zero waste.
It doesn't even have to be Instagram photo-worthy.

It just needs to be joyful.
(And there needs to be cake! 🎂)

🗣️🗣️🗣️ IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 🗣️🗣️🗣️

Announcing a change to how I invoice for my parties. Sadly, due to a customer who did not pay and damaged/lost several elements of the kit, I’ve had to implement a new policy for payments.
From now on, payment is asked for on booking of your kit. Additionally, a refundable £20 damage/loss deposit will be being taken, which will be refunded upon receipt of the full kit and after I have checked it for damages. I will be adding a laminated checklist to the inside of kit boxes which will clearly detail what is included, and also our basic ground rules to avoid damages.

Your date will NOT be reserved until full payment is made. Thank you so much to the vast majority of our lovely, kind and careful customers. I’m very sorry to have made these changes, but as a small business owner, losses come directly from my pocket.

What’s the best reusable tableware? This question pops up a lot when talking about our party kits.

The short answer is that there is no perfect solution.

There’s some sort of compromise with all types. That might be that what it’s made of, how and where it’s made, what it costs, how practical it is or what happens to it at end-of-life. There is definitely an opportunity to create something better.

In the meantime, rather than tie ourselves up in knots, we try to focus on the fact that ultimately the best option is reusable. ♻️

Whether it’s using what we already have, sourcing secondhand or borrowing tableware, each of these will help reduce our impact on the planet.

Hi! I thought I’d do a post on ensuring safety for your sleepover kit.
I do not buy any products which are not CE or UKCA marked, which means they have been subjected to proper safety testing.
I do not use any plug-in lights, my items are battery powered only.
On the subject of battery powered: I do not use anything which has button cell batteries.
Your child’s safety is my top priority. We’re cheap, but we don’t cut corners.
