Informal Wedding Photography and Filmmaking
I never saw myself as an artistic person: my handwriting is a disgrace to the human race and every drawing or painting I’ve ever made looks like it should be put out of its misery. I’ve always loved a camera though, I whizzed through rolls of film as a kid and at school my friends used to make fun of me for always having a camera in my blazer pocket. In 2010 I bought my first DSLR and found myself offering to shoot a wedding for my friends. In the months leading up to the wedding I immersed myself in everything I could to do with photography, and before I knew it I had started a business. In 2013 I started making wedding films alongside my photography and I fell more in love with my job than ever. Over the years my work has taken me all over the UK and Europe, I’ve taught workshops and spoken at events, I’ve been featured in lots of wedding blogs and photography magazines and most importantly I’ve photographed and filmed a lot of wonderful people making lifelong memories in my own, informal, often a little daft and always heartfelt way. I’ve found an outlet for my creativity and I guess maybe I’m more artistic than I thought I was after all. I love my clients, love my job and can’t wait to see where this takes me next.
