I love this time of year when the trees start to blossom and the bulbs are sprouting and you get the occasional beam of sunshine to warm your face. Thank you to for this stunning magnolia, it has graced every bouquet I’ve made this week but I had to save a vase full for my own kitchen - I love to watch as more buds open each day!
It was wildly windy and very foggy but I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to take a quick snap of our final delivery of the weekend.
I’ve never made so many bouquets on one weekend before and I’m so thankful for every order - you are all keeping my dream alive and my business thriving so thank you!
In March 2022 I spent a magical 4 weeks at learning all about sustainable floristry, how to create without floral foam, how to source British blooms, how to bring your own morals and values to the heart of your business and so much more on top. Those 4 weeks gave me the courage to leave my job at a flower shop and launch Fern floral design 💚
These two years have been the best and as I’m scrubbing buckets in readiness for Mother’s Day fleurs I feel so grateful that I found Tallulah Rose and that Rachel and the team gave me knowledge and confidence to do what I do!

Today we said goodbye to our good friend Richard and I had the honour of creating his farewell flowers.
His wife requested a wild, bright, spring garden vibe which, honestly, is my favourite vibe!
Made entirely with British flowers and foliage and not a smidge of floral foam in sight. This arrangement also contained hidden jam jars of flowers which were removed after the service to adorn the tables of the wake.
Floral design that is kind to the planet can work for every occasion and it is a privilege to curate the final gift you give to your loved ones.

Ruth wanted a green, wild, woodlandy bouquet so I filled it with locally grown ferns, birch, elderberry, scabious and oak, including tiny little acorns!

I thought this sustainable sympathy wreath deserved a little spot on the grid.
Unlike the more common floral foam based wreaths, this one was made with entirely compostable materials meaning when the flowers start to fade the entire thing can be put in the compost or the green bin.
It breaks my heart to see the general waste bins at the crematorium overflowing with old wreaths and tributes all destined to add to our landfills. It may be a small change but lots of small changes can make a big difference ♻️💚

The wind may be howling and the rain hitting the window panes but there is still so much beauty in the local flower farmers fields. Loving this riot of colour which I created for a regular customers mum’s birthday.
As always, no plastics, no floral foam and no chemicals. Just local flowers wrapped in paper and delivered with a smile.
I love creating wedding flowers as sustainably as possible and this wouldn’t be achievable without some fantastic british suppliers.
A big shoutout to Fiona and Margaret who both grow such amazing flowers, less than 5 miles from my studio. Buying flowers from them cuts out potentially thousands of miles of travelling and countless sheets of plastic wrapping.

I’m always honoured to be asked to create memorial arrangements. This little posy was created to adorn the grave of a much loved and missed Mum.
All the flowers are British and chemical free and are arranged in water rather than floral foam so when they finish blooming they can be recycled/composted rather than adding to landfills.
