Cracking day leading a skills group today for Atlas Mountaineering. We headed up to Mullach nan Coirean (939m). Great experience for the team in typically Scottish conditions - poor visibility, brisk wind, snow and hail, deep snow in places. Lots of skills taught from nav to avalanche avoidance and everything between. Ace!

In the absence of winter and without a partner I decided to go out today and do a massive scramble link up.
13 graded scrambles completed in just under 8 hours.
Approximately 2200m of graded scrambling in ascent or descent. 15.5 km covered. 6000 calories burned.
2 summits although that wasn't really the goal (Glyder Fach and Tryfan).
Ace.
What a fantastic day to be in the hills. Cold enough to keep me cool but warm enough that I spent the whole day in just a long sleeved t-shirt.
Didn't see another person until I got to Bristly and then the obvious standard circus on Tryfan.

Cracking day on Ben Nevis today via the Carn Mor Daerg Arête despite the considerable thaw. Very boggy on the approach but that gave way to a good covering that was increasingly firm with height. No need for crampons today though. Saw one other on the route (who I'm eternally grateful to because he picked up my phone and reunited me with it!). Hopefully a cold snap will firm things up a bit for tomorrow 🤞
