What can I say about Jennifer and Joe’s wedding? What a day! Such a gorgeous couple and the most amazing friends and family! We laughed (a lot) and cried just a little.

🐱 Angela read the poem “Love is Like a Cat” as a nod to fur baby, Olive.

🎀 Joe and Jennifer tied the knot in a hand fasting using a ribbon of beautiful silk and some MacDonlad of the Isles Ancient Hunting Tartan.

💍 The beautiful personal promises brought giggles and tears.

🕊️ Joe’s Mum, Teresa, read a Celtic blessing.

🥃 Jennifer and Joe toasted their marriage with Bunnahabain from the quaich!

I love to write. It is everything to me, and when I’m not working, caring for my family, spending time with friends, or walking the dogs, you’ll usually find me with a notebook and pen thinking, scribbling, or doodling!

Writing ceremonies is particularly special as it gives me the opportunity to create something beautiful for a family or a couple that will be the source of memories for years to come. What a huge honour that is!

You can imagine what a joy it is to receive positive feedback for a ceremony script, it’s just the best feeling! I give my all to every ceremony I write and I always strive to listen intently to everything my couples and families tell me so that no words are lost and each tiny detail is considered and included.

I’m so grateful for all the kind words I receive, and I’m never complacent - there is always, always room for growth and learning for all of us. 💖

Today I’m travelling to the beautiful near St. Andrew’s to conduct the wedding of Jennifer and Joe! Today’s ceremony includes a fun poem as a nod to fur baby Olive, a handfasting, exchange of rings, and a first drink from the quaich!

No ceremonies for me this week, but several couples meetings and a lot of writing. The soundtrack to my day today has been my fur baby’s gentle snoring! It’s a hard life, eh? ❤️🐾😂🐾

How gorgeous are these photos of Cameron & Lorna and their beautiful family? captured this wedding beautifully! We were at a couple of weeks ago and it was fabulous! The kids were so amazing and wee Charlie brought all the giggles! Yesterday I was at the beautiful to conduct the wedding of Lorna and Cameron. What a fabulous day we had! The sun was shining, the set-up was simple and stunning. Lorna and Cameron looked fabulous and their 5 little ones just made the day extra special! Congratulations to this beautiful family, wishing you all the love and happiness in the world! Last Saturday I had the great honour of conducting the wedding of Alicia and Carl at . I stepped in for my colleague Carol, who had written a beautiful ceremony. 💖

It was a gorgeous sunny day and Alicia was stunning in a white gown. Carl and his best man and all the guests were looking amazing in black and the contrast with the white flowers was beautiful!

Flower girl G did a wonderful job and stole everyone’s hearts - including mine! We had tears, laughter and a whole lot of love, all captured by the amazingly talented .nc_photography - how gorgeous are these photos! (first 4) ❤️🤩🤩🤩

Last Sunday I conducted the wedding of Jenna and Giuseppe at the hotel in Larbert. The bride and groom looked absolutely amazing and it was wonderful to see their two families meeting for the first time. I conducted the ceremony in Italian and English to ensure that both families were part of the celebrations and it was wonderful to see so much joy fill the room! ❤️🇮🇹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️

🎶 Farewell to T 🎶

On Friday we said farewell to T, a hardworking, football-loving devoted family man. So many people came to say goodbye, all looking super smart, just as T would have wanted, being such a style icon.

T’s greatest love in life was his family, but his greatest passion outside of that was music!! A regular visitor to Vegas, he had seen all the big names - Cher, Elton John, Shania Twain and many more. He also loved musical theatre, his absolute favourite being Les Miserables.

I know I say this a lot, but conducting a funeral or celebration of life is the absolute essence of humanity for me. It is such an incredible honour and I will always carry T in my reflections and his family in my thoughts. 💛

Yesterday I was at the stunning Silverwood Lodge Resort & Function Barn to conduct the wedding of Lia and Michael ❤️

I stepped in for my colleague Carol O'Rourke
who had written a beautiful ceremony. 💕

Lia and Michael brought happy tears to us all with their gorgeous personal promises and three reasons.

Colin, their fur baby, did an excellent job as ringbearer. 🐾

It was a bit chilly, but it stayed dry, so we were able to have the ceremony outdoors just as Lia and Michael had hoped. The setting by the water was perfect.

Here's wishing these gorgeous adventurers a lifetime of love and happiness together! 💕

💛 HUMANISM IN ACTION 💛

Today, I have been sorting through my son's room as we prepare to make some changes to our family home.

I came across the book that we passed around to our guests at my son's Humanist Naming Ceremony 20 years ago. Our guests - dear friends and family - took great care and consideration in writing messages, stories, and poems for my son to read as he grew older. He will celebrate his 21st birthday this year.

The photo here is of the inside cover of the book, and these were my hopes for him and the adult he would become. It fills my heart to know that he is indeed the most gentle, caring, accepting, and inclusive person - an all-around awesome human.

I chose Humanism because I wanted to be part of a community that gives time, love, and acceptance to others and fights for social justice. It's really just about being a good egg. Simple as that. 💛🕊🥚

This weekend I was at one of my favourite Glasgow venues - St Lukes & The Winged Ox,but I wasn’t there for a wedding! I was there for a gig.
