All my Christmas market dates for the next few weeks. Busy busy! I'll have lots of £10 and under stocking fillers (A5 prints, ceramic coasters, Christmas decorations) with me as well as all my illustrated maps in A5-A3 size.

I'd love to do more ski resort maps but this one took forever to do as I tried to get the runs and lifts in all the right places, so I fear I might not find the time to make another for quite some time!

Thought I'd try to share a bit more of the wedding stationery I've worked on this year as I feel like I'm knee deep in weddings at the moment and maps have taken a bit of a back seat (though Paris WILL be done ready for Christmas ordering 🤞).

Autumn is always my busiest season for wedding stationery with lots of couples with summer weddings starting to think about getting their invitations out.

Here's a lovely little salmon red and white menu with some tasty sounding dishes on 😋

Had a lovely day at 's yesterday showcasing a selection of my previous wedding stationery commissions. Thank you to their Wedding & Events Manager Becky for organising.

It was wonderful to see how many couples came along (despite it being an absolutely steaming day - luckily The Bell has Aircon!) and it was great to have brainstorming chats with lots of those couples about the different kinds of unique illustrations and stationery I can create for their big day.

Big hats of to all the other fab suppliers in attendance too - I had such a good time chatting with you all. Looking forward to grabbing a few cuppas with those based in Ticehurst soon!

Illustrated of and the ski area. Lots of lovely little details in this one - I've included all the different , colour of runs and mountain restaurant locations as well as lots of the peaks and ski towns around the map.

Ski maps can be a bit tricky to illustrate due to the positioning of the resorts along mountain chains. This often means that all the detail needs to be clustered in one long narrow line in the centre of the paper with not a huge amount of details above and below, but not in the case of this resort! I've never visited but it looks like a dreamy resort and was an absolute treat to work on.

Showcasing another custom invitation suite I worked on last year with a fab couple. The couple really wanted to highlight all the lovely countryside that their venue was close to, so I added in lots of hills, green fields & hedging to the illustration.

I promised one of my best friend's I'd have it ready last Christmas, but I think I was a little naive about how much work trying to keep up with wedding stationery commissions and having a newborn baby at the same time would be! Birthday drip cake 😋 Sometimes simple is best.

So funny that this little doodle I did one Sunday afternoon has turned out to be my bestselling card. Thanks to & (and probably the pandemic for encouraging people to shop small where they can), this little number has sold over 2200+ units 🥇🎉

On a totally non-business related note, a BIG happy birthday today to one of my besties and anyone else who's birthday is today!

LONDON MAP
So excited to say that my London map is finally ready and just in time for Christmas gifting! It's been a long one in the making as I chose to include quite a large area (mainly because I assume only millionaires live in zone 1 and I think it's always nice to have maps up on the wall that include the area you live in).

Hope that you like it! I'd love to add in a few more landmarks around the map that are less central/zone 1 focussed in future editions (likely not going to be until next year if I'm honest!). Which landmarks would you like to see included?

Usually, new home = lots of painting!

When we first moved into our own home, I got so excited and wanted to paint EVERYTHING. As you can probably tell from my artwork, I love colour, but my husband just wanted the whole house to be white. Despite his protests, I started painting our hallway (light) pink. The day after I started, I found out I was pregnant. The guidance on painting whilst in the early stages of pregnancy is a bit iffy, so to be on the safe side, I made my husband paint the rest of the hall instead of me. He's not a DIY man and it's quite big/awkward shaped hallway. He definitely hasn't forgiven me yet and the pink walls serve as a reminder of it everyday! 🥳

A custom venue illustration invitation suite I worked on for a lovely couple earlier this year. The bride wanted 'hot summer' colours featured in with the green palette and I love how the pink really pops and breaks up the green. Such a prestigious venue to illustrate too!

The couple also sent art prints of the illustration to key people who helped them with the wedding which I thought was such a lovely thank you gift.

QR codes have been super popular on RSVP cards this year. Honestly, I was quite nervous the first few times I worked on suites where couples wanted them as I was so worried they wouldn't work (I'm such a worrier!), but they've all turned out perfectly and hopefully have been super easy for guests to RSVP more easily too. Defo a trend that looks like it's here to stay.

Pop up shop dates for this festive period and a little update for you: After the art printers I worked with for the last few years doubled their prices overnight this spring, I decided to finally take the plunge and bring all my art printing and greetings card printing in-house.

I spent a large amount of time this summer researching printers and spent hours (and hours and hours and hours) testing out papers and colour profiles to get the perfect set up and am so so pleased to say that can now print all my A5 - A3 art prints and all my greetings cards in-house at my studio 🥳

And the biggest bonus...producing in-house is actually a lot more economical for me to produce, even though I'm using the same quality paper. Soooo I've reduced all my prices to reflect this (those eagle eyed of you will have noticed this price update on my Etsy store at the end of Sept!).

Hope to see some of you in person at at some of my pop up markets.

After the popularity of my last week with its white background, I decided to re-work some of my other illustrated maps so that there are a few more options to choose from when thinking about themed !

Really pleased how it turned out, though I do still love the original map I created in and .

My map is next on the hit list for the white background and watch this space as I'm currently working on a which I'm hoping will be ready by mid-November in time for . (Those who have requested maps, Faversham, Margate and Tenby are next on the list after that, I promise!!)

I was going to wait until November to post about Christmas cards but oh boy these Royal Mail strikes have been a nightmare for small businesses like mine (and I assume, everyone else who orders things online and needs to send and receive post!). Soooo... I think it's fair to say, it's probably time you start buying/making, writing and sending your Christmas cards if you would like your recipient to receive it before Christmas 😂.

Newest addition to my illustrated map collection. Bewl Water on the Kent/East Sussex border. Little hops mark all the fabulous pubs in the villages around the and little coffee cups for all the cafes. If you look closely 👀👉 you can see the 'round Bewl trail' marked in orange.

Now that my little one is in nursery, my working hours on the wedding stationery side of the business are finally a little less nocturnal and bit more 9-5 🥳, so I'm trying my best to schedule in regular time for creating new work. Hope you like it!

Any 13 going on 30 fans out there?!

When I was at the pop up shop this summer, I overheard one of my customers say that she loved the bright colours on the card but wished it didn't say "flirty" on it. I really wanted to say, "but have you not seen the film!?". I'm not sure "30 and thriving" has quite the same ring to it haha.

Going to school there when I was younger, I couldn't wait to leave, but now when I go back I realise how lucky I was to grow up in such a lovely place. It's funny that it's technically a city because it feels very small. I love all the cobbled streets and the nooks and crannies of this higgledy piggledy place.

There are too many good pubs to illustrate, so I've just dotted a few pint glass and cocktail icons around the map.
