A huge thank you to everyone who braved the elements to ghost hunt hms warrior this evening. What an amazing experience aboard this magnificent ship. We had the whole ship to explore. It was touch and go when we arrived as to if it would go ahead due to tiles falling off nearby buildings. Luckily an old friend Greg who I haven’t seen for a number of years happened to be helping as caretaker On this event and got us the go ahead. A huge thank you to Greg and good to catch up again. Wishing you all a merry Xmas and looking forward to seeing you in the new year

We have phoned the dockyard this morning with regards to our HMS Warrior eveht tonight and all is going ahead as planned

Storm/Wind: The Xmas Ghost Hunt Aboard HMS Warrior event is GOING AHEAD AS PLANNED. There has been a yellow warning of wind from the met office in Portsmouth which will not effect our event. If the venue decide to postpone we will be in touch with you individually and also put a post on Facebook.

Saturday Xmas Ghost Hunt Aboard HMS Warrior information

Victory Gate, Portsmouth PO1 3XQ. Please dress warm and wear non slip shoes. Please check route and travel times before leaving home. Start time 7.30-1.30. please arrive 15 mins before start of the event on foot through Victory Gate. There is no vehicle access to the dockyard. Parking is nearby and I have provided screen shot from the fockysrds website of nearby parking they suggest, but please find alternative if you wish. Free light refreshments tea coffee biscuits will be provided throughout the evening. Any suggestions please let me know

Ahoy there me hearties! All aboard HMS Warrior this Xmas! Hurry and don’t miss this exciting opportunity to explore and ghost hunt this magnificent ship. Join us for a spine chilling evening and become a paranormal investigator for the evening helping us capture any activity aboard HMS Warrior. Saturday 7th December, Portsmouths historic dockyard. Using traditional and modern ghost hunting methods, our aim is to find out who haunts this magnificent ship.

This magnificent ship was built around 1860 and decommissioned around 1883.
She subsequently served as a storeship and depot ship, and in 1904 was assigned to the Royal Navy's torpedo training school. The ship was converted into an oil jetty in 1927 and remained in that role until 1979, at which point she was donated by the Navy to The Maritime Trust for restoration.
