Presenting the brand new Mr & Mrs Graham! Rachel and Wade chose to have a fabulous small wedding @runawayirishweddings . Just loved the couple although the groom’s wobbling lip when he saw his wife to be walk up the aisle nearly had me crying too! The photos just show their love for one another and their great friendship.
I had the honour of marrying Calum and Suzy yesterday @belle_isle_estate . Just the perfect venue. Absolutely beautiful music by @ulsterquartet . Congratulations Mr and Mrs Gray.
Paul and Carmel…what can I say? A pair of truly beautiful souls whose love for one another just shone. As one of the guests told me just before the start of the ceremony, ‘You will feel the love in the room today’. She was so right, that ceremony room @rockymountaincottage was packed both with guests and so much love you could almost reach out and touch it. Paul and Carmel live your amazing life together to the full and enjoy all the adventures I am sure you will share.
@themillatballydugan looking as beautiful as ever yesterday for Sara & Jenny’s wedding. The fabulous music was @jonandrob #annpinkertoncelebrant #weddingcelebrantnorthernireland #humanistcelebrant #humanistcelebrantnorthernireland #humanistwedding #elopementireland #weddingsni

First wedding script of the season is officially underway! My 150th script and I still get that thrill as those first words are put down. I adore all the love stories couples send me and their own unique take on my couple questionnaires. Sometimes they make me laugh uproariously and sometimes cause an emotional tear or two. Every couple’s story is amazing with their own unique narrative. It’s our job as humanist celebrants to tell that story whilst captivating friends and family providing a memory which will last a lifetime. The soup? … working lunch!
Two beautiful souls were married at the end of last year and what better place to create forever memories but amongst the very best of Northern Irish landscapes. The stunning images were captured by the immensely talented Dominic Lemoine Photography . Lucy and Josh, wishing you much love and happiness and thank you for choosing me to marry you both x
I was so touched by the kindness of the host at Riverdale Barns last week. I watched Davy look after the couple and their guests with genuine enthusiasm and care. After I had finished the ceremony he made sure I was fed and watered before I travelled back home. A simple and kind gesture, thank you.
What a week!! First the fabulous wedding of Caroline and William @runawayirishweddings swiftly followed by a planning meeting for Neil and Zoe for their summer wedding! Next day we were off to the very lovely @orangetreeweddings for the wedding of John and Emily. A wee journey then to the amazing @riverdalebarnni a first for me and I was completely wowed! What a great place and such great hosts! A quick breather for a day (while I actually wrote a script!) Then we had 2 afternoon teas and final planning meetings for two lovely couples, Neil and Sophie and then Jade and Alan (with daughter Summer and. Mum Anne) who all marry this coming week. Finally a first meeting with a fab new couple marrying @runawayirishweddings next month. What a week..would I change it? No way. Living my best life with amazing couples and beautiful venues !
The wedding of two childhood sweethearts this weekend. Tim the boy who bought his girl mittens when he saw her freezing waiting for the school bus…. Just the dream couple. That one photos speaks volumes about their love for one another and the sheer joy they felt after being pronounced Mr and Mrs Hilary. Their venue was lovely and new onto the wedding scene, the gorgeous @floridamanorni . An Irish Georgian dream.
What a fabulous wedding at the fabulous @montaltoestate When I found out the groom Sebastian was half Danish just like me I was thrilled…especially when his fiancée Emma asked if I could perhaps incorporate a few Danish traditions. After a little bit of fun research, I found two lovely traditions we used. Asking the couple TWICE if they accept one another as husband and wife (obviously a cautious lot those Danes!) we adapted it slightly and got family and friends to shout yes also the second time! Great fun! At Danish weddings if the guests stamp their feet the couple must kiss - so with a bit of enthusiastic stamping we had a couple of encores! How could I not love this fabulously amazing job? Congratulations Mr and Mrs Knudsen, I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness. Remember every day to say “Jeg elsker dig” at least once ###. I’m so excited to be enrolled on this three day workshop! Three whole days of perfecting my craft, mixing with other fabulous celebrants and sharing ideas. Hopefully adding more sparkle to the magic of ceremonies.
The circle of life. I love hearing good news from the couples I have been privileged enough to marry. Isn’t life just amazing? Being a celebrant must be one of the best jobs in the world! Congratulations James and Rachel.
Just loving these autumnal
colours for today’s handfasting. 😍
Thanks to @windmill_fabrics in Saintfield as ever. My favourite shop to buy ribbons for couples. The range is dazzling. I’m always able to match to a colour scheme.
