Today, I had the profound honour of officiating and sounding the Last Post for a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to supporting veterans as they transitioned to civilian life. Her unwavering commitment to helping those who served will never be forgotten.

It was a privilege to stand alongside her family and offer support during this difficult time, working with the exceptional team at Harry Edwards Funeral Directors in Wellington. Moments like these remind us of the incredible legacy one life can leave behind. Rest in peace.

I had an enjoyable time this morning at the Severn Business Network breakfast meeting in Shrewsbury as a new member. Joining a new group can feel daunting, but everyone made me feel so welcome. I was also pleased to see my logo up on the screen alongside the other members! I’m excited to get involved, participate, and build some great connections.

I’m so pleased to have been nominated in the Celebrant category for the West Midlands Wedding Industry Awards this year! While it wasn’t my year to take home the win, I want to extend a huge congratulations to all the winners in every category—it’s such an honour to be recognised alongside such amazing talent.

And, as the Brass Band world says after a competition when the results don’t go your way: I was robbed! 😉 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Dear Steve
I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for the way you conducted my mother’s funeral on Thursday.

Being such a small funeral I wanted something simple and stylish but a very personal tribute to my mother. I spent quite some time selecting various pieces of music and poems which you delivered beautifully. The added commendations you made were perfect for the occasion, it was as if you knew her. Even the selection of the red rose, a token of love, on the screens with her name was a very elegant touch.

With so few present the service could have felt awkward and cold but it didn’t. You took control of the proceedings with care and dignity and I felt supported throughout. It was a warm and special service and everything I could have wished for as a fitting tribute to ###X.

It was a humbling experience to pay respects to a life dedicated to duty and sacrifice. My thoughts are with their family and loved ones during this time.

Today, I am deeply honoured to officiate the funeral of a remarkable lady who lived an extraordinary life, reaching the fabulous age of 102. She witnessed over a century of incredible changes in the world and in her beloved Britain. Her life was a testament to resilience, grace, and the wisdom that comes with a lifetime of experience. It is a privilege to celebrate her journey and the legacy she leaves behind. May she rest in peace.
