We are hiring for seasonal marquee crew to help with the build of our marquees for the Christmas season.

Responsibilities:
Assemble and dismantle marquees
Load and unload vehicles with equipment, furniture and materials
Outdoor work in all weather conditions

Requirements:
Able to commute to IP22 1HG
Available from the 13th of November - 15th December
Availability to work full time Monday - Friday from 7:30am with varied finish times
Driving licence desirable but not essential
Previous experience is desirable but not essential

We have built a reputation of excellence over 26 years, renowned as perfectionists and problem solvers, whatever the conditions.
We would be interested in talking further with the applicant who is able lead a team in erecting and styling a range of marquee structures (clear span up to 15m, Traditional, Roder, Pagodas). Responsible for teams of 3-8 on events for guests numbering 20-250, we require the successful applicant to be knowledgeable, practical, personable with a resilient and positive can-do attitude. The team leader’s responsibilities will include ensuring the correct and sensible loading of vehicles, delegation of crew duties, being the friendly face of the company on site, and working alongside office management to solve problems and complete each job to the highest of standards.
The successful applicant will find a highly satisfying and unique career which throws up different challenges to conquer daily. They will need to be willing to work flexible hours and plenty of weekends (especially throughout the busy Summer), all while helping to develop and grow the business. Key Responsibilities:
- Management of seasonal marquee crew of varying experience, both on site and in yard. Ensuring the highest of standards are maintained
- Acting as key point of contact for the client and office management whilst on site. Managing expectations and efficiently solving problems as and when, all while striving to go above and beyond for their event.
- Ensure all necessary equipment, vehicles, and staff are utilised efficiently and maintained correctly.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met and followed by crew. Undertaking on site risk assessments and performing full client brief ahead of their event if event duty is not required
- Assist in the managing and operation of warehouses, including repair and cleaning of kit during quieter periods.

Required Skills:
- Experience in leading a team
- A full UK driving license
- Excellent communication skills
- Natural leader with confidence
- Positive ‘can-do’ attitude and problem solver
- Organised and disciplined, ensuring all events are finished safely and on time
- Self-motivated and committed
- Able to deal with pressure while maintaining huge attention to detail
- Fit and healthy, able to carry equipment for a sustained period
- Aware of and able to implement health and safety standards
- Not shy of 10–12 hour days during busy periods.

Preferred Skills:
- 7.5t lorry license (C1)
- Understanding of site electrics and generators (upwards of 40kva)
- Understanding of sound and lighting equipment
- Construction of clear span and traditional marquees and interior finishes (linings, floorings, dancefloors etc)
- Management of sites
- Communication with clients, sub-contractors, and management
