Job opportunity…
We have a job vacancy for lunchtime at our Cafe, Tuesday-Friday and every other Saturday 8.30-15.00.
The job primarily will be front of house but kitchen experience is also required.
Holiday cover would be required where the hours will increase to approximately 30hrs per week so flexibility is a must.
You will be paid weekly.

IMPORTANT!!! We have no phone line, apologies to anyone who may have been calling today, we didn’t realise till later on.

Not sure when the issue will be fixed!

I know I said I’d make no more posts BUT…..we cannot keep/reserve any more tables for Saturday, we have to keep tables free for walk ins otherwise we end up having to turn people away.

Please DO NOT have an attitude with me or my staff when we advise you of this, as I’ve said before I WILL NOT tolerate it 😡

So one last post before we hand the keys over at the weekend 😢

We just want to say thank you very much to everyone who has supported us over the years, since 2007 in fact!

It’s hard work running a small business, especially now and without our loyal customers, visitors and staff alike we wouldn’t have been able to make Castlegate Coffee House what it is today so thank you again to each and every one of you!

As for Edwin and Me we are going to be enjoying a bit of time off! Roll on Saturday 😂😂

If anyone is nearby pop in and see us, Edwin will be working with us on Saturday, our last day, and it’s going to be a busy week!
(We’re having a day off Thursday 😂😂)

That’s it then, the next post on here will probably be from Sarah when she takes over at the weekend, we’re happy to be walking away knowing that the cafe is in good hands and that nothing is changing immediately.

Due to circumstances beyond our control and the gross incompetence of the person of the other side of the phone we no longer have the option to take card payments as of immediately!

Long story short, I was cancelling from 2nd November which is when I finish but was cancelled as of today in error and the only way to get it back is to open a new account which is unrealistic for the sake of 2 weeks.

SO, from now til 2nd November we are CASH ONLY

It’s been exactly a year since we introduced breakfasts to the menu. After a slow start the small breakfast including tea or coffee for £5.50 is now our best selling menu item 😁 All of our breakfasts can be made as a gluten free option as well!
