“Do you find running corporate offsites stressful?”
For me, the answer is always the same: No, I love it!
And here’s why—meticulous planning before the event means there is little room for error, which in turn means no stress when you get there!
Of course, some things are out of one’s control, but with a solutions-focused mindset, ninja style trouble shooting skills, (some humour) and the right suppliers, everything is fixable—so the event (and the guest experience) is never impacted. 👌
That said, events isn’t for everyone… you do need to really enjoy spreadsheets 🤓 and very detailed organisation 🤩
Case in point: organising Token.io’s company offsite for 65 people in Lanzarote. An absolute pleasure, non-stop from start to finish, and a big success!
I may be biased, but Team Token.io are true professionals—each person an expert in their field and, quite frankly, just lovely people to work with, so they and their hard work and commitment made this event such a success.
Here’s a sneak peek inside this project 👇
☀ Three days of meetings, icebreakers, a catamaran trip, drinks receptions, and different private dining each night—including an awards dinner and entertainment (plus an impromptu onsite carnival show… which I cannot lay claim to having planned!).
✅ Managing it all: Full budget management, flights from 16 global locations, transfers, accommodation, location & venue sourcing and management, procurement, team logistics, requests and dietary requirements, supplier coordination, schedules, table plans, name badges and lanyards, awards, maximising cross-departmental engagement, photography, entertainment, AV, comms, full onsite facilitation, changes and troubleshooting.
A big project for sure, and the kind I absolutely love to run - seeing it all come together is definitely the best part! ✨
