"Reddown Rainman" raised by Cherille Hebdon in 2001. Kim X Border seedling.

Class winner Saltford 2005, Premier medal Datchet 2008 and best in section Knowle 2017 and 2018

Cherille Hebdon has a whole range of wonderful border Auricula and are worth checking out. The majority have "Reddown" at the beginning of the name, my next mission is to find out the story behind the names.

Our Seed List has been open for one week and already more than fifty items are sold out. These are marked on the Society website. Each time the list is changed, the date at the top is amended too. It should say something like 'Edited: 13th January.' If the list on your screen shows 'Opened: 6th January', you should close that tab in your browser and open a fresh one by searching for our web address (https://www.auriculaandprimula.org.uk) or using a search engine such as Google. Please include some alternative choices in case your initial selection is no longer available.

We are very pleased to say that the 2025 seed list is now open to all members, now had never been a better time to join if you are not a member.
A huge thankyou goes to Allan and Lynn Guest who work extremely hard sorting seeds and producing a list of the highest quality.

In the list below 'O.P.' stands for Open Pollinated. This means that the seed parent is known but not the pollen parent. 'Selfed' shows that the plant was fertilised using its own pollen or pollen from another plant of the same variety.

Seedling 080210....from Knowle 2022 . We had a very informative talk from Robert Holgate at the September AGM about seedlings and lists. I wonder where this one is now from 2022.
It is wonderful and we hope many more will come from our seed exchange in January where members can obtain their seeds.

Be sure to tune into Gardeners World this coming Friday at 8pm on BBC2, where I will be talking about my passion for growing Auricula and adding some winter colour to your TV screen with some magic thrown in for good measure, all as a feature in episode 3 of their winter specials.

It will also be repeated on Saturday morning at 9am on BBC 2 and also available to watch on BBC Iplayer after it's been aired.

Auricula "Limelight" a fantastic show- self raised by Tim Coop in 1998 two examples here shown at Knowle in 2011.
In the 2024 seedlist, open to members of our society there was a cross of Limelight and medow lane , I'm sure there are many who are excited to see how they turn out.
