EXPERIENCES are the number one key to making your Wedding Day memorable! Experiences really make great memories and leave you guests talk about your wedding for weeks to come. Some of my favourite experience type additions to a wedding day are; Garden Games, Silent Discos, Live Artists, Scavenger Hunts, A Performance of some kind whether that be Singing Waiters, or a Comedy Sketch from the Groomsmen 😆 And you can keep things really budget friendly too, think giving any young kids Polaroids with the task of being your extra photographer for the day. I’ve seen young children take this so seriously and it’s so cute. Little Miss/Mr Photographer bossing grandpa into the frame was a belly laughing talking point at the breakfast the next day. And that’s what you want to take away from your wedding day in the end, Memories.

This Tip is for the Men! 📣 BRING A SECOND SHIRT 📣
I was speaking with a Groom the other day whose date is set for August. I mentioned bringing a second shirt for the evening, you know, with it likely being a hot day, lots of time with a suit jacket on, and just generally a busy day. He told me it hadn’t even occurred to him, but he was so grateful I had said something!
So I say this to everyone wearing a suit to a summer wedding, bring a second shirt. Think of a full wedding day like two events… The Day (Ceremony & Wedding Breakfast) then you typically have around 1-1.5 hours break to chill with your new spouse, getting extra couples portraits and freshen up. TRUST ME, your guests will be fine if you both bu**er off for an hour, it is after all, your Wedding Day! Then you have the Evening, the more relaxed After Party. In any other scenario you would take a time out to freshen up no? So why not allow yourselves that on your Wedding Day?

Let’s talk tablescapes.. 🍽
If you’ve opted for a traditional 3/4 course sit down meal as part of your wedding, you can use your tablescape to really WOW your guests. Remember they’ll be sat to their tables for up to 3hrs including speeches. Whether you’re using trestle tables or rounds, the decor you choose will have a big impact on the overall atheistic of your day, and it can be an opportunity to get really creative.
There are many options available; candelabras, raised/low floral arrangements, and running landscapes through the centre of the tables. The key is to make sure your tablescape is cohesive with the rest of your wedding design.
