Day 14: Robbie’s back!!! You know when you do a spontaneous performance of a song and it turns out to be one of your best? Well this is what happened to Robbie when he performed Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar just before lockdown. Robbie you STAR! This is brilliant! (He’s 15!). ❤️

Day 10: We’ve got a real treat today! Rachel and her Granddaughter Lorna are In the Spotlight with the great classic song Swinging on a Star. Apparently they had great fun to making this video but they had to do quite a few takes to get it right. I think they’ve done a brilliant job. 🙌

Day 8: We are now 1 week into lockdown with just 3 weeks left to go. It’ll fly by! During the first lockdown James kept us entertained with his Gilbert & Sullivan performances. Well he’s back! This is The Colonel's song from Patience with a special guest appearance from James’s dad. Brilliant as usual James. 💕

Day 7: On remembrance day I’d like to put some of my choir family In The Spotlight with a socially distanced performance we held in the summer. I’m missing everyone at the moment and can’t wait until we can sing altogether again. What a day that will be! Here the choir are singing the hymn ‘Be Still for the Presence of the Lord’. Today I’m proud to put Ann In The Spotlight. Ann is a lovely member of the New day Singers and it’s taken her a lot of courage to send me a video to put on this page. I’m so glad she did because this performance is beautiful. It’s a happy, bouncy version of one of my favourite Carpenters songs, Top of the World and as things start to open up more in the country, we are On Top of the World. Please enjoy Ann’s video.....

I’m excited to put Robbie In The Spotlight today with one of his latest videos (hot off the press). Robbie is an incredible singer who is doing some really important projects at the moment. Recently he performed for 12 hours! In order to raise money for the NHS and ACTING for others. You can check out his page ‘Robbie’s Singing Streams’. This boy is going places!!! He’s 15!! And already has contacts in his phone that would impress Andrew Lloyd Webber. I know you’re going to enjoy his version of Heart of Stone from Six. Ooh there’s a lovely surprise In The Spotlight today! It’s Sharon!!! She’s finally plucked up the courage and sent us a song to share. Sharon is a valuable member of The New Day Singers and comes along to my Tremourloes Parkinson’s Choir as support for one of our members. Sharon loves singing. She’s been keeping up with her singing during lockdown by hosting one of our garden sings (5 people and me). Sharon’s voice is coming along very nicely indeed lately. I love her sound and natural vibrato. Please enjoy the video.....

I’d like to put Lucy In The Spotlight today! I’ve taught, known and worked with Lucy all her life during my time at Guisborough Stagecoach and seen her develop into an amazing singer, actress, dancer and teacher. Lucy is just starting out in her career and what a career it’s going to be!!! This video has been produced to mark the end of her masters degree at GSA. Brook is In The Spotlight today! This is an incredible performance of Empty Chairs at Empty tables from the musical Les Miserables. The song is challenging at the best of times but I’ve got to say I think Brook has smashed this and makes it look easy. Brook’s been doing a lot singing throughout lockdown and this is evident in his video......

It’s her first time on the page but she’s known to many of my choir members as she’s a long time member of The New Day Singers and the Mega Choir. Today it’s me In The Spotlight with a video I recordered 10 years ago! I know I haven’t changed at all! I’d like to dedicate this song to Dame Vera Lynne our National Treasure who died yesterday aged 103. Dame Vera Lynn was a total inspiration and used her voice to lift people’s spirits and offer hope to the nation. This is a video I made for YouTube and was published under my stage name at the time of Paula Louise. If the choirs and singing groups were rehearsing at the moment I know we’d be celebrating her life by singing her songs together.
