As 2024 draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what’s been an incredible year for Standing In The Wings, and share some exciting updates for the year ahead!

First, we’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported us this year—whether you attended one of our events, worked with us on your special day, or brought a touch of creativity into schools through our workshops. It’s been an absolute joy to collaborate and bring your visions to life!

Wedding Fairs
This year, we proudly launched our wedding fairs, meeting so many wonderful couples and suppliers. We’re excited to see what 2025 brings for the wedding industry!

School Workshops
Our school workshops have been another highlight, sparking creativity and inspiring the next generation. From theatrical lighting to performance preparation, it’s been rewarding to see students dive into the arts with such enthusiasm.

Lighting design and hire
Lighting is everything when it comes to creating atmosphere, and we were delighted to see our lighting hire services enhance weddings, events, and productions this year. Whether subtle or dramatic, we love transforming spaces into unforgettable experiences.

As we prepare for 2025, we’re already planning:
- More Wedding Fairs
- The launch of our Wellbeing Fairs in Bedford and Rushden
- An Evening with The Lincoln Noel Trio featuring the Standing In The Wings Songbirds in May (kindly sponsored by Price Wallace)
- A workshop of a new musical supported by The Place
- Empower You workshops to support and develop performance confidence (launching January)
- Our fifth anniversary production, The Wind In The Willows in July!

A big shout out to our incredible team - our wonderful performers, inspiring tutors and technical gurus - we couldn’t do what we do without you!
