We all have different personalities, from my laid back couples to the bordering on crazy Katie couples.
The key is to find a balance in things that bring you joy (for me that’s detailed tables like this dreamy Old Bishop's Palace, Chester table and cute tokens of love) and things that your guests will enjoy (music, food, the bar 😉) and then what fits your budget.
If you are overly detailed - pass it over to a Katie and trust them to do it (I promise we all know what we are doing) It was something I really missed at my own wedding.
Try and delegate (I know it’s hard - I am the biggest control freak ever) but it will help.
Now I’ll get off my soapbox and stop preaching stuff I don’t do myself 😉

On Friday we had the pleasure of planning & managing the launch night for the newly purchased Hotel Wrexham (I know, we are all getting used to not saying Holt Lodge too)
Officially relaunched by Wrexham Mayor Councillor Beryl Blackmore accompanied by her Mayoress, Mrs Dorothy Lloyd. The evening was filled with a real buzz as we shared the owners plans, gave snippets of the new menu, viewed the upgraded rooms, and listened to everyone’s warm memories of the hotel.
It’s clear that the new owners are not only experts in the industry but also genuinely care about the community. They’ve already started sponsoring local sports teams, have tried to meet as many local people, businesses and social enterprises as possible and are eager to be a big part of Wrexham. This can only mean great things for the hotel and the city (town).
Next on the agenda - Family Fest on August 4th (pop it in the diary) and we can’t wait to share more exciting updates with you soon, developing not only the hotel into the place to be, but also launching The Savvy Fox restaurant. (Beers in the soon to be upgraded outdoor area has my name all over it) 😍

Absolute privilege to be asked to help plan and manage the Wrexham AFC Player Awards.
A fantastic evening with some very worthy winners hosted by the wonderful Matt Smith - who was an absolute dream to work with.
Huge shout out to the team at Wrexham Football who made it happen (after an incredibly busy week) and all the people involved last night from media to logistics.
As always I couldn’t do it without my team running the show backstage whilst I ran the front and Liv who had the pressure of being my stage runner (even if she was a little star struck) 🤩
Scott ASG Audio Visual who went above and beyond on the lighting/staging for me and, as always, smashed it out of the park.
Nathan and the FOH team at William Aston Hall, Wrexham for all their hard work.
Alice at Flowers in the window for her beautiful greenery for the stage. (And adding more at short notice)
And Dan and the team at ASAP Signs who not only produced the best stage artwork but also, as always, acted with super professionalism.

I absolutely adored my teaching career and still miss it so much but excited to see where this path leads too… 1) If you don’t try you will always wonder “what if”. 2) If you are waiting for the perfect moment or timing, think again – it will most likely never come. Life isn’t perfect and neither are you. 3) Whilst there are no guarantees in life, your instincts and gut feel are usually leading you in the right direction.
