What a week! We have been v busy bees this week in London on Tuesday evening and then attending a lunch yesterday with the wonderful team at Lore Group who own one of our fav London properties the Sea Containers London hotel and One Hundred Shoreditch in the U.K. plus properties in Amsterdam 🌷🇳🇱and Washington.🇺🇸

Thank you to the gorgeous Josephine Somers for our fabulous invite to Roux at Skindles restaurant in Maidenhead just a stones throw from the Mabrouka office; and the opportunity to meet new and existing fellow and new contacts within the Lore Group team. Thank you also for our gorgeous candle 🕯️from Brooklyn based perfumer D.S & Durga, luxe toiletry supplier to all the hotels - the perfect gift! 🎁

Our client was celebrating 157 years since the passing of the Confederation Act, and the country's formal creation. Every year, this day is filled with celebrations throughout Canada, including parades, fireworks 🎇🎆, concerts 🎶🎵, picnics, and much more.

Sooo impressed with the recent refurbishment at the DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole which Layla experienced first hand over the last few days.

Overlooking the Brighton seafront🌊🏖️, this historic hotel 🏨built in 1890 with a new look fresh modern interior; is a short walk from all the major landmarks and the ideal base for leisure or .

Thursday afternoon Layla & 2 x friends checked in and were welcomed with a famous warm cookie 🍪🍪🍪which also appears as a huuuge mural on the roof of the hotel - v easy to spot from the view from the Brighton i360 which is literally opposite! 👀

On Friday morning Layla met with the lovely Hannah Beynon who gave her a really comprehensive site visit of this 4* hotel which has 24 meeting rooms, including 4 exhibition halls, 321 guest bedrooms 🛌, a health & beauty suite 🧖🏽‍♀️🧖🏽with pool 🏊🏽‍♂️🏊🏼‍♀️, a hairdressers 💇🏽‍♀️, bar 🍷🍺and restaurant. 🍽️

Breakfast was excellent both mornings in the restored dining room, 1890 at the Met, which offers rare beach views and the hotel even has its own secure underground car 🚗park.

We can’t wait for our next Mabrouka Events client conference to take place here, it’s going to be great!

Sharon & Layla visited Chris Wheeler at the Crown Inn in Farnham Common today for a hosted lunch and a show round and what a delight it was!

We met with the lovely Justine White who is the Sales Manager and were treated to a fabulous lunch from the signature and classic menu created by celeb ‘ginger chef’🧑🏻‍🍳🥕🧡Chris Wheeler, formerly of Stoke Park Club.

Chris is such a nice guy and even popped out to meet the Mabrouka girls before we left; and kindly gifted us a signed copy of his amazing cook book 📖📚plus some home made ‘Gingercello’! 🍊🍸🍹

Nestled on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Farnham Royal this refurbed 230 year old inn enjoys a happy location close to the beautiful Burnham Beeches Nature Reserve - ideal for both our corporate and private clients looking for somewhere new for a group lunch, dinner or a private event.

We were shown the beautiful outdoor terrace with a stretch tent ideal for a BBQ and pergolas which can be booked privately which all overlook a field full of beautiful horses.. 🐴

We were then shown the 2 x newly refurbished luxury bedrooms which have beautiful king-size beds 🛌🛌and all the mod cons you might need incl a mini bar and charming Butler’s Pantry, a fully equipped kitchen available to guests at no extra cost.

The venue is licenced for entertainment 🎤🎶🎵too so we can help book live musicians for events too.

Beautifully decorated throughout and the exterior is stunning too with the second oldest wisteria in the country! V instagrammable! 📸🤳🏽

We are hoping to inspire our local clients to discover this gem of a property for themselves over the coming months; and are v much looking forward to working more with Justine, Chris and the team on our client events.

This time next week I will be entering the red zone in Greenwich with my gorgeous marathon friend Clodagh ready to depart at 11:30am!! Eeek! 🫶🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️

Yesteday was our last training run together and we took it slow and easy and did 7 miles from Booker to Cressex with my dog Kylie. Rewarded at the end with a yummy cheese sandwich made by Clodagh’s lovely Sister Sinead. 🥪😘

Just going to do some strength 💪🏽and stretching 🙆‍♀️this week and collect my number from London on Friday with my Mum Sharon 💝

Thankful for these last 4 x months and getting to know my lovely childhood friend Clodagh even better. We have so many memories of primary and secondary school and do not stop talking.🤣

Really going to miss our training runs but already planning some smaller distance local runs together. We plan to cross the finish line holding hands 🤝and I’m manifesting and have been dreaming about the atmosphere and moment for months.. 🥺😍

Excited, nervous, anxious…all the above. So grateful and lucky that I get to do this and cannot wait to cross the finish line together & enjoy a well deserved glass of champagne! 🍾🥂😂

Beautiful pink tulips purchased for the winning team in tomorrow’s charity netball 🏐🏐🏐tournament at Kingsmead. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

I bought these from the fruit n veg shop in Bourne End owned by a lovely man called David Bryant - Joanna & I used to work for David when we were 15 under the Pepper Pot on Wycombe High Street - our 1st ever job which taught us sooo much!

I think I’m going to be an emotional wreck 🥹 in the coming weeks as I prepare for my first TCS London Marathon!

On Sunday 21st April I’m running my first TCS London Marathon for Breast Cancer Now!! My biggest physical challenge ever; eeek! 💗🎀

As part of my fundraising efforts, I’m holding a charity netball tournament next Saturday with an amazing raffle! 🏐🏐🏐

The raffle prizes have been kindly donated by friends, suppliers, local shops and hoteliers from our family run business Mabrouka Events and the lovely netball community 🥰

On Sunday 21st April I am running my first ever marathon for Breast Cancer Now!! Eeek!!!💗🎀

Training is going really well running with my lovely school friend Clodagh Ball; and our seats are booked on a coach 🚎leaving Wycombe at 6am on the big day!!! 🥱

As part of my fundraising, I am organising a charity netball 🏐🏐🏐🏐 tournament at Kingsmead Netball Centre in Wycombe on Saturday 23rd March.

A few moments captured from our hugely successful 3 day client event in Manchester this week.

We used the lovely 5* The Lowry Hotel located just over the bridge 🌉🌁from Spinningfields and had 2 x offsite dinners for our corporate group of 90 x guests.

Our gala dinner was held at the stunning The Monastery Manchester ⛪️ and we had an awards evening with engraved glass awards 🏆and champagne 🍾supplied by our friends at Wyld&Creative.

Corporate gifting supplied by one of our fav luxury gifting partners Jo Malone London with personalised monogramming on the gift boxes and client names engraved on candles too. Our clients were delighted! 🎁🕯️

The Lowry kindly gave our guests a complimentary jar of honey 🍯🐝 as a nod to the ‘worker bee’ symbol - The Manchester worker bee is one of the best-known symbols of Manchester and has been an emblem for the city for over 150 years. The bee denotes Mancunians' hard work ethic and the city being a hive of activity.

January and February are super busy with kick off events for the Mabrouka team and we are delighted to start the year with another successful event under our belt!

Wonderful morning with non corporate/private clients visiting Wild by Tart in Belgravia for a potential wellness 🙏🏼🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏽‍♂️event next March/April.

Layla met with the super lovely Kayleigh Mullarkey Head of Events; and together they checked out the unique events space and photography studio.

Wild by Tart is a neighbourhood restaurant set within a multipurpose space. Housed in a former power station and coal store, the 9,000 sq. ft site combines a restaurant, bar, retail store and unique event space.

Private events are an integral part of Wild by Tart. The perfect venue to host incredible parties, weddings and product launches. The space lends itself well to any occasion and they have three private hire options; The Mezzanine, The Studio and Exclusive Hire of the entire venue.

The photo studio is a 1,450 sq ft. space with high, glass-paneled ceilings. It benefits from excellent natural light and a variety of feature walls. The Studio also has its own private entrance, cloakroom, bathroom and bar.

Layla was actually giddy with excitement to have found this venue via Instagram and have seen so many inspiring brands e.g. Jo Malone London hold events here…

Fingers crossed our client loves it as much as the Mabrouka Events team🤞🏻☺️

Wonderful day at Bicester Village as special guests of mundusrepresentation and Viceroy Hotels & Resorts.

Sharon and Layla enjoyed train 🚆 travel right to the village which is so much easier and quicker than driving followed by a fabulous networking breakfast 🥐☕️and lunch with fellow & .

Operational excellence & ‘the’ most delicious catering from the team at Harbour Hotel Guildford for our 2 day client event this week for 90 x delegates! The F&B team truly outdid themselves with the tastiest catering we have experienced for a long time! Yesterday we had a yummy Mexican 🇲🇽🌮🌯🫔themed lunch and a Bavarian ‘Oktoberfest’ buffet dinner 🎵🌭🛢️🍺🎶🥨with a 5 piece Oompah band! 🎺🎷🥁 We didn’t think things could get any better but then today we enjoyed a v delicious Moroccan themed lunch! 🇲🇦🍽️ Client feedback was glowing on this 4* property, the friendliness & flexiblity of staff which made Holly and Layla’s job sooo much easier! Another hugely successful event delivered for our Pharma client at the Hilton London Paddington yesterday. Daisy & Layla took a group of 65 x guests to Smith's Bar & Grill in Paddington just 8 mins walk from the hotel. Here we enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal which was preordered on a bespoke website 👩🏽‍💻designed by us. 🍽️ We also arranged trains & flights for all the delegates from all over the country using the fab team at ETON Travel 🚆✈️ All the non local guests stayed over at the hotel 🛌 and then we had a full day meeting for 110 x guests on Friday. Service and food was great at the hotel especially the buffet lunch and our client and their healthcare professional customers were v thankful.☺️ We also had the amazing Beagle Create crew providing event production including a complex link to a 🏥👨🏽‍⚕️Hospital lab for a live heart demo! 🔬🥼🔭🫀 Lastly we used Jo Malone London 🕯️& good ‘ol Marks and Spencer 🍾🍫to delight our client organisers when asked for thank you gifts! Really interesting recce of the Paddington Basin area earlier for Layla and Daisy to see Smith's Bar & Grill restaurant in preparation for a private dinner for 80 x Mabrouka Events clients in September. A short walk from our meeting venue Hilton London Paddington and offering a v economical 3/3/3 set menu which will give our guests a mouthwatering choice dinner 🍽️; it really is the perfect venue. This fine dining Indian restaurant only opened less than a year ago and is already ‘the’place to go in the Old Town in Beaconsfield! Guests at our Tower Bridge Walkway event will also experience the spectacular glass floor across the high-level walkways! This permanent feature offers visitors an incredible birds-eye view of 🇬🇧 London life, from 42 metres above the River Thames. Look down to spy those famous red London buses and pedestrians whizzing over the Bridge while river vessels sail ⛴⚓️under it! Working with HL Adventure - DMC Iceland again this year The Northern Lights, also called Aurora Borealis, are an awe inspiring phenomena and can frequently be seen in Iceland from September through April on clear and crisp nights. The Northern Lights occur high above the surface of the earth where the atmosphere has become extremely thin, at an altitude of 100-250 km. They are created by electrically charged particles that make the thin air shine. Auroras can be seen in rural belts that form 20-25 degrees around the geomagnetic poles, both the north and the south and there for Iceland is the ideal location for the adventure of exploring the lights. We literally hunt Northern Lights, selecting the best possible viewing spot with the help of northern light forecast to experience the amazing display of colours.
