Hello… It’s been a while! It’s been a really busy summer, but I’m now easing into autumn with a good old studio sort out before the busy festive season kicks in. I’m currently working on plans for Christmas wreath workshops, so watch this space!

So happy to be doing a job I love! I almost can’t believe it was only 8 months ago that I started Mallow & Moss, in the depths of winter and in the middle of a lockdown. At times it felt like we’d never return to some semblance of normal life with weddings and events and I wondered whether I’d made a huge mistake quitting a steady job. But 8 months on and I am working on some amazing jobs and freelancing for the most talented florists, creating beautiful florals. It’s the dream!

This week we’ve got a very special Naming Day party to flower for one of my dear friends and I CAN’T WAIT to bring the vision to life!!

When I left for the flower market this morning my car beeped at me as the temperature was under 2 degrees! Hard to believe that it was above 20 degrees last week!

I’m having a real moment for ranunculus right now and I especially love butterfly ranunculus. I love the way they dance around in an arrangement. The salmon butterflies in this bouquet also turn a beautiful off white as they get older 😍 More of these beauties heading out tomorrow for Friday Flowers.

It’s been a busy couple of months since Mallow & Moss launched and now I’ve ticked off some big dates in the diary (Valentines & Mother’s Day) I’m taking this week to regroup, reflect and to start planning for the rest of the year. There’s some exciting projects in the pipeline and hoping for a busy summer of weddings!

Wow what a busy few days! I even spent my 30th birthday this week making Mother’s Day bouquets! But I can’t complain as I love what I do and it’s even more worthwhile when I receive such lovely messages and photos from customers receiving their flowers!
Nationwide flowers are out for delivery today, but there’s still time to order if you’re in SW London, for delivery this weekend.

International Women’s Day - this week’s Friday Flowers will be a celebration of all the wonderful women in our lives. Bright joyous bouquets filled with ranunculus & mimosa. Did you know: mimosa was chosen as the flower of IWD by Italian feminists in 1946, and is still used today to symbolise strength, sensibility and sensitivity.

One of my favourite roads in Putney. The front gardens are beautiful and full of magnolia and cherry trees. I can’t wait to wander down here in the next couple of weeks when they’re in full bloom!

I had a spare bouquet looking a bit sad in a bucket, so thought I’d put it to good use with some photography practice - which I need lots of!

It’s amazing how by just popping the flowers in a simple old delftware style jug has completely transformed them! I love using different vessels for my flowers, whether it’s a jug, jar or even a pretty cereal bowl. I’m particularly fond of blue and white pottery! I’m a magpie for it in charity shops and boot sales!
