A handfasting can be such a beautiful moment in a ceremony. Not only is it lovely for your guests to witness, but the ribbons, chord or fabric used to 'tie the knot' will then be a constant reminder of the vows and promises made during the ceremony.
Carri and Matt asked their nieces and nephews to bind the ribbons for their ceremony a few weeks ago, and they did it perfectly! The ribbons were chosen to symbolise four of the most important values for this pair; family, adventure, understanding and love.
At the end of the ceremony, Carri asked for the ribbons to be tied to her bouquet and, as you can see, they add a gorgeous touch of colour to their amazing photographs, taken by the fab Scoularfish Photography

I had the pleasure of officiating at the wedding ceremony for Carri and Matt, just over a week ago. Another village hall on Gower for me!
This was quite the story, with a broken leg leading to the start of this pair's adventures! Tales were told of their camping and campervan trips, the love and laughter they share, drinking old fashioneds in Sweden and an advent calendar proposal. We had two beautiful readings, a handfasting with ribbons proudly bound by nephews and nieces, and the most heartfelt of vows. To bring the ceremony to a close, Carri and Matt walked through an honour guard with a traditional sword arch, to the cheers and applause from their family and friends.

It was lovely to be back at @kingarthurhotel for J&H's ceremony last week. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the venue looked as gorgeous as the bride and groom.
