I felt very privileged to get so close to this beauty on our morning walk. I always see it as a sign that a loved one is nearby.

After all, “those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear”

I get to meet some lovely families in my role as celebrant and to be in a position to support them at such an emotional time in their lives, reminds me how lucky I am to have found this work, although, through my own grief, it actually found me.

Most of us tend to worry more about how others are feeling and how best to support them without thinking about ourselves. At times of change or emotional upheaval, it should be a priority that we make time to focus inward and pay attention to our wants and needs, because we matter.. it all matters, all of it ..
