✨ Vote for Dice and Balls CIC! ✨

Deadline: We only have until the 17th of November!

We have been accepted to apply for funding from Jigsaw Homes Midlands
Now we need residents to vote for us. You can do this here and earn points for vouchers https://rewards.jigsawhomes.org.uk/

We are a Community Hub bringing people together mainly through the love of games, also now through knitting, Craft, D&D our Church Hub, Warhammer and More.

We also regularly go into the community and teach or/ and run Circus Skill sessions and balloon modelling,

Yesterday, we became runners-up of the Pride of Gedling Awards, sponsored by Jigsaw Homes.

Please, will you share this with any Jigsaw residents or sites that you know of
It would be wonderful to win this funding to help us to remain a presence in Arnold and to continue helping our community in any way that we can x

🌟 A Heartfelt Thank You from Dice and Balls 🌟

We didn’t take home the Pride of Gedling Award this time, but we still feel like winners because we have YOU—our incredible community by our side!

As my nan always said, “If you’re going to dream, dream big.” And that’s exactly what we’ll keep doing. This nomination reminded us of the amazing, supportive community we’ve built together here in Arnold.

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on, believed in us, and helped us reach this milestone. We may not have a trophy, but we’ve got something much more precious: each and every one of you.

Here’s to more dreams, more laughter, and many more adventures together.

Get ready for another amazing all-day board game convention for children and families! Join us on **4th January 2025** at Arnold Methodist Church for a day full of fun, games, and community vibes!

🛡️🎲 Introducing the Dice and Balls RPG Club! 🎲🛡️

Looking for an adventure? Join us for our very first RPG Club session this Friday, 8th November, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM! We're kicking off with the thrilling Dragonbane, hosted by the fantastic GM Tim. Dive into a world of dragons, dungeons, and daring quests with a community of like-minded players!

📅 When: Friday, 6:00 - 9:00 PM
📍 Where: Dice and Balls, Arnold Marketplace Hub
🔄 Frequency: Every two weeks!
💸 Cost: £10 per session, materials included

All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to RPG veterans. Each session will explore different game systems, so there's always a new adventure waiting!

Cayt for the Mini Teddy bears, Knot just knitting, Bead making, and mini books,
Karen for the Knot just Knitting and Wooly doll making, Julie Malone for the fantasy story writing workshop,
Bradley for the Warhammer.
Tim for the Spooky DND
Inspire for the Multiplay session.
Cayt, Thankyou for organising the half term holiday, and providing the Craft materials.
Thankyou Cory for helping in the shop and helping at the Library.
Thankyou Pete for having the shop when we were working elsewhere and Alex for helping with the job yesterday.
And of course Thankyou so so much everyone that came to our events and made them as special and fun as they were xx

A big 'thankyou' to the three brave adventurers who saved Halloween in Barnold on the 31st October.

They fearlessly fought frightening foes and vanquished various villains.

They didn't get time to visit Farmer Palmers calmer, drama, armour, pyjama, llama, lip balm, charm farm though.

But they did hear bell- accompanied choir practice and table tennis.

Yup they listened to a ding-dong sing-song with ping-pong.

And in the Morning we had some wonderful Crafters making so Spooky Wooly witches

The village of Barnold is in chaos on Halloween afternoon. Constable Agatha Hurwitz is at farmer Palmers farm looking into crimes there, when reports of a burglary at the bakery come in and all the sweet treats have been stolen!!
She calls upon all warriors, witches, wizards and wise-folk to investigate.
Can you capture the culprit and retrieve the cakes, cookies and candy to save Halloween???
