❤️ We haven’t updated you for a while, but we’re still making meals for The Peoples Pantry, Leven.
This week we managed to deliver 100 meals of Mac & Cheese with broccoli and bacon plus Mexican rice with chicken and black beans 😊

👉 We’ve quite a few gigs and events in the coming months at The Aurrie, so please follow our social media or check out our notice board to keep up to date, plenty of variety and quality acts coming to The Aurrie! To book a space on any event just drop us a message or call in x

👉 Tonight from 7pm we have the first of our monthly meditation sessions with David Tyrrell. Moving forward, this will be on the last Friday on each month. Treat yourself to some self care.

👉🎸 Also, this Sunday 29th from 2pm - 4pm is the return of the Sunday Jam Sessions!
Local musicians, singers, poets, storytellers, please join us for an informal acoustic jam session on the balcony… and of course downstairs will also be open as normal for everyone to come and enjoy the music, vibes, coffee, food & company (no reservation needed - just turn up!) 😍

👉 Finally for now…. After the huge success of our first comedy night, we are so excited for Red Cap Comedy’s next event on Friday 10th June! It’s going to be hilarious stand up comedy from 4 acts with funny bones to put a smile on your face and laughter in your heart! There will also be a licensed bar available on the night. Get your space reserved ASAP!

❤️ Helen & I are humbled and happy to have received an award for our efforts during the pandemic ❤️ however, pandemic or not, now more than ever, we all still need to do our bit to help each other!

👉 This week we managed to deliver another 100 meals to The People’s Pantry. This week it’s Mince, veg & New Potatoes plus Cajun Chicken, peas, sweetcorn & New Potatoes 😊

👉 We hope everyone in attendance enjoyed The Skids last night and we’re looking forward to their return in June!

👉 🎸 This Sunday (24th) is the return of the Sunday Jam!!
Local musicians, singers, poets, storytellers, please join us for an informal acoustic jam session on the balcony… and of course downstairs will also be open as normal for everyone to come and enjoy the music, vibes, coffee, food & company 😍

👉 We’re buzzing for Scottish singer songwriters James Mackenzie & Hospital Corner to be playing at The Aurrie on Friday 20th May… we’re thinking of changing this one up a bit, so watch this space. Its not one too be missed 🎸😊

We’ll have a lot more to announce soon re our summer season events and the return of Red Cap Comedy nights!!

We’re running out of words to say how amazed we are at the support and love within this community!

Thanks to you we have raised over £3k so far!! ❤️🇺🇦

So you’ve been busy buying raffle tickets, almost blindly accepting that it will be worth it… well I’m here now to show you a sample of how much value there is on offer!

Thanks to EVERY artist, local business and member of the public that has donated a prize for the raffle, this is a selection (but I’m sure there’s more because they keep coming in - and keep them coming!)

❤️ Today is a day of a little ray of goodness among the gloom ❤️

👉 With help from donations at the weekly Lundin Board & Card Games at The Aurrie, we have made another 100 meals for The People’s Pantry, Leven. This week it is Chilli Con Carne and Cheesy Broccoli Macaroni. I’m not gonna lie, with the steep increase in the cost of every part of life, these meals are getting harder to achieve, but we will keep trying.

🇺🇦 Absolutely blown away by the response of our community towards our Ukrainian fundraiser ❤️ you lot are bloody amazing!
You’ve raised over £2500 so far, and we have the raffle and auction still to come! Let’s keep this going, but for the grace of God or fate, these families are us!

🎻🎸🪗 Our next gig at The Aurrie, is on Saturday 2nd April.. SOUTRA are a Scottish folk band drawing influence around the world to bring us original and traditional folk music on the flute, concertina, fiddle, guitar and accordion.
🥘🤤 Included in the ticket price for the evening will be a bowl of Helen’s warming Southern Indian Curry with a selection of breads and chutneys, followed by Fresh Fife Fruit Eton Mess!

This is just a slice of what’s ahead!
We want our villages to be a vibrant destination with plenty for locals and visitors to do and enjoy!

♟🃏🎲 Every Wednesday evening from 6:30 we have a fun and friendly group that meet to play all manner of board and card games. We’re always looking for more members and diversity of age and game choice/experience! Any money donated on the night goes towards helping us provide The People’s Pantry 100 meals a week.

🧶✍️ We have Marion and Robert Mitchell’s exhibit of Textile Art and abstract drawings running until Sunday 27/02. Items are available to buy and there is an amazing step by step pattern to purchase as well.

🎻 Starting from Monday 21st February and thereafter every 3rd Monday of the month, we have The Fife Strathspey and Reel Society rehearsing at The Aurrie 😊 If any fiddle or accordion players would like to join in, we can put you in touch, you’ll be made very welcome.

Soutra are a contemporary folk band and will be playing traditional and original music from Scotland and around the world.

📸 We’ve got a lovely exhibit from Upper Largo Camera Club, running until 13th February, The theme, ‘Community’ is very close to our hearts and we’re thrilled to be showcasing their talent. They meet twice a month at The Simpson Institute and new members are always welcome!

Over the various lockdowns we have been playing Gloomhaven and Magic The Gathering and Marvel Champions online, however we can’t wait to get back to meeting in person!
