4 years without you Nan 💔

I love this photo so much, when Nan was diagnosed r dementia at 86, she started crocheting again after years of not doing it. We were totally amazed how quickly she remembered what she was doing, and up until when she passed, she had made almost 300 blankets. Whenever a friend had had a baby, they would always ask Nan to make them a blanket, everyone in the office had a blanket on the back of their chair, and even Dusty the cat had her own one.

So this is more than just a photo, it represents how well lived Nan was even after her diagnosis, she spread joy with her blankets and it made her so happy.

Wowzers… that was a hot one!!! Massive shout out to everyone who took part today, it was NOT easy! And hoping everyone who struggled is ok, a lot of people passing out on the course.
Today I ran for , this charity is very special to me and we need to spread the word how important they are for funding vital research into all forms of dementia. It will be 4 years tomorrow that we lost my dear Nan, so today, this one’s for her 🩷

Wedding ready! Today I had the absolute pleasure of being part of Cory and Jays gorgeous Woodland wedding at Marshwood Manor. There was a lot of laughter and happy tears, their guests were epic and we all had an absolute ball! I can’t wait to share some pics of the happy couple!

🌟🌟 So... the wait is over, the review of the Marriage Act 1949 has been completed and recommendations passed over to government. 🌟🌟

And guess what? It's positive for Independent Celebrants and couples alike in England and Wales.

For 70 years, the marriage act has excluded the recognition of multi-faith, non faith, secular or just the freedom to choose how to marry - forcing many couples to have two ceremonies. The proposed law change suggests that the officiant is licensed to wed, not the religion, the faith or the location.

This is powerful news for England and Wales based celebrants and couples, and a step in the right direction for the rest of the UK to take notice and reform in the same way.

These recommendations are now being presented to government who have a year to respond. From there, significant law change could take up to another year or two so it won't be fast action change.

However, it is meaningful and if accepted, will impact our businesses and the future of celebrancy forever.

We still have a way to go to pass these recommendations and we cannot guarantee anything, but we are positive this could hold significant change.

I officiated the most beautiful outdoor wedding for Rory and Charlotte, at my fave . It was a day filled with love and laughter and after a few rainy days the sun came out in all its glory for their special day. They opted for a simple hand fasting with 3 cords to represent their little family of 3 , with a special appearance from their super cute little boy 💕 it was a real pleasure to get to know these 2 and what lush human beings they are!

Congratulations Rory and Charlotte, wishing you all the happiness in the world! 💕
