Last week l had a brilliant day with a great bunch of people, showcasing our vision of an intimate ceremony and elopement on the wild Ayrshire coast.
It was great to spend the day exploring the traditions of a quaich ceremony. Our ritual symbolised love and partnership, joining two souls in friendship through the sharing of drink from a two handled cup.
@whitneygrahamphotography captured the day so magically and @floralmenagerie created stunning, wild florals and also knocked it put it the park with her modelling skills.
Even though it was a pretend, I wanted to say some genuine words for our wonderful real life couple models Lisa and Slyder, and chose the poem Friendship by Dinah Maria Craik.
OH, THE COMFORT — the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person,
Having neither to weigh thoughts,
Nor measure words — but pouring them
All right out — just as they are —
