Last Saturday I had the absolute joy of conducting a marriage ceremony for two very special friends.
Being able to lead a ceremony where one of your most fundamental friends marries her love, was amazing and something I will never forget.

E +D your wedding was SUPERB and I am so over joyed to have been a part of it. Thank you for putting your trust in me.

A handfasting ritual. This ancient Celtic tradition is a beautiful way of adding symbolism to your ceremony. Here’s a wee action shot from E+G’s outdoor ceremony last Spring.

It is also where the traditional phrase ‘tying the knot’ originates from; the binding of the physical knot symbolises the binding of your two lives.

Stepping into 2024…

I am excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to plan and be part of some wonderful marriage ceremonies this year. It’s so wonderful to be part of the community.

A Wednesday to remember today. ✨✨Our wee mentee group gathered to celebrate the end of our training. Alignment is my word from today. So much so that our woodland spot, already had bunting. Lucky us. 🌷💫

Hello! Spring has sprung, a good time to introduce the seedling that is my celebrant page 🌱

I conducted my first marriage ceremony in Glencoe on Sunday, and am full of joy.

I am delighted to be part of the team with . A huge thank you to Linda, Andrea and Onie who have generously, thoughtfully and warmly given their knowledge throughout my training over the past year or so.

I am excited for this new adventure, offering meaningful life ceremonies for all.

Last week l had a brilliant day with a great bunch of people, showcasing our vision of an intimate ceremony and elopement on the wild Ayrshire coast. It was great to spend the day exploring the traditions of a quaich ceremony. Our ritual symbolised love and partnership, joining two souls in friendship through the sharing of drink from a two handled cup. @whitneygrahamphotography captured the day so magically and @floralmenagerie created stunning, wild florals and also knocked it put it the park with her modelling skills. Even though it was a pretend, I wanted to say some genuine words for our wonderful real life couple models Lisa and Slyder, and chose the poem Friendship by Dinah Maria Craik. OH, THE COMFORT — the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, Having neither to weigh thoughts, Nor measure words — but pouring them All right out — just as they are — Chaff and grain together — Certain that a faithful hand will Take and sift them — Keep what is worth keeping — And with the breath of kindness Blow the rest away.
