Abi and Joe…

The most beautiful blush, ivory and burgundy… with a flash of hot pink!

The ladies carried beautiful hand tied bouquets containing Pink O’Hara, astrantia, stocks and allium as well as others, with long ribbon tails.

I created large displays on the archway outside the church. The village was beautiful and I had so many lovely conversations with passers by 😊

These arrangements were then taken down after the ceremony and taken to Lapstone Barn for the wedding breakfast and reception. They were taken in style though! Their wedding car was the most beautifully restored red mini ❤️

I’m sure a wonderful day was had by all 🌷🌿

F O U R T E E N…
Love Flowers is officially 14 years old today! So here’s 10 pictures of me 😂 (10 pictures of me that are work related I might add). Forever carrying crates and destroying my knees.
Huge thanks to everyone for being part of my journey to where I am today.
Whether you’re an original from my little shop or you’ve joined later down the line, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate every single one of you ❤️
To every person who has ever supported me - whether that has been booking your wedding flowers, buying bouquets, attending workshops, trusting me create farewell flowers, recommending me, liking or sharing my posts, hitting my inbox with kind words (or laughing at my ridiculousness), cheering me on… Thank you so much! You’re the reason I get to do what I do. You can see in the photos how happy it makes me.
I’m very lucky I get to do what I do, I don’t take that for granted. I also know it isn’t just luck, it’s the hard work that goes alongside it.
Big love to my very nearest and dearest for everything. I couldn’t do this without you! Forever there when I’m having a breakdown (there’s been many over the years), a rant (there’s also been many of those too), for wiping away the tears (probably less of those now in these later years but they’ve definitely been there. There’s a pattern here!) and just generally keeping me sane!
My lovely wife Steph will probably hate this but thank you for everything you do. You’ve came on countless set ups when I need extra hands, you come to the big events every single time and you’ve taken pictures of me occasionally when I’ve asked you really nicely. Couldn’t do it without you babe!
These are getting longer every year. I’m sure I think I’m at the Oscars or something.
To round it up - thank you, I love you all very much.
Steff. ###

Jenny & Dave got married at Curradine Barns last year after their original date was postponed due to covid.

Gorgeous ivories and greens for their beautiful day. Just look at those roses! 😍

They also opted for large showstopper centrepieces for their wedding breakfast and I decorated an arch that the couple supplied to be used as the backdrop as they said their vows.

I hope a wonderful day was had by all 🌷🌿

Kate & Mark got married last summer and we had all of the colour!

Peonies, garden roses, delphinium, craspedia, stocks to name just a few of the gorgeous flowers I used within their designs.

The display on the arch was a particular favourite!
(If you needed a sign to have a huge showstopper piece, this is it!)
The fragrance was unreal! (You don’t get that with silk) 🌷🌿

Lucy & Aaron got married last summer.

Lucy carried a hand tied bouquet containing beautiful white flowers including roses, stocks, veronica and ammi to name just a few.

Her bridesmaids carried similar bouquets but with added touches of blue delphinium and eryngium.

Aaron and the gents wore classic white rose buttonholes and I also created a traditional arrangement for the top table.

I hope they had a truly amazing day 🌷🌿

Eve & Matt got married at Barns & Yard at Hanley Hall with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony that took place on the jetty.
I’m sure you’ll all agree that it’s a stunning backdrop to say your vows.

We used a beautiful range of pastel flowers for their designs. Peonies, quicksand roses, stocks and delphinium to name just a few.

For the ceremony we had meadows to line the aisle and our moongate on the jetty.

Eve carried a wonderfully textured bridal bouquet that was so beautifully fragrant and her bridesmaids carried hand tied bouquets of gypsophilia.

Matt and the gents wore lilac rose buttonholes.
Other personal flowers were hair combs and provided individually wired flowers for hair.

The wedding breakfast tables were adorned with beautiful bud vases filled with mixed flowers used throughout their day. This was perfect as there were a mix of round and banquet style tables. They were also styled with lots of gorgeous candlesticks and coloured candles. (The meadows from the ceremony were also brought inside and repurposed to bring further decoration.

It was an utter pleasure to create the flowers for their day. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness together 🌷🌿

Guys, I can’t tell you how happy I am. I wasn’t joking when I said I wasn’t expecting it. The category was full of wonderful florists. I really am on cloud 9!
The hugest of thank yous to all of my wonderful couples that voted for me. Without you I wouldn’t have made it to finals. You really are wonderful and I’m so grateful that you trusted me to create the florals for your day. Thank you for enabling me to do the thing that I love! I honestly can’t thank you enough!
A huge congratulations to all the well deserved winners in each category (and everyone who reached regional finals! What an achievement!)
A huge thank you to everyone at The Wedding Industry Awards for all their hard work and not forgetting the judging panel. Thank you for seeing my passion and recognising it.
I know it sounds so cliché but I do love my job! It’s hard work but it’s so rewarding. I am so grateful I get to do this.
A huge thank you to everyone who supports me along the way. Friends, family, likers and sharers of posts, those that recommend me to other people. My cheerleaders.
I love you all very much and wouldn’t be able to do this without you.

You know that can include soft pink/nudes too right?
This bridal bouquet also features some dried palm spears in amongst the fresh flowers.
Your wedding flowers should be personal to you and that’s where my experience comes in to play to make your dream flowers a reality.
I’ve never actually counted them up but I’m pretty sure it’s a couple of hundred at least (and probably a few more!) That’s a lot of real weddings I’ve been part of and created the florals for. I know what works and what doesn’t. You can trust me to know.
I’m also here to advise. If there’s anything you’re unsure of or want to know, you only have to ask. No gatekeeping here my lovelies.

You can tell it’s summer because look at those peonies!! 😍

When H & C enquired and I saw their vision for their florals, I can’t tell you how excited I was! The vibe and designs were so exciting! Grounded archway, installations on the beam and a custom home made table plan as well as lots of other wonderful items.

The colour scheme was just delicious! Corals, browns, soft pinks, apricots and ivories.
Just perfect 👌🏻

(I do have some professional images of this wedding and will be sharing them soon. Just wait until you see them!)

As always, I hope they had the best day! 🌷🌿

Huge congratulations to all of the other finalists! What an industry to be part of! Surrounded by so many other wonderful businesses.
The West Midlands Florist category is full of some incredibly talented florists that I’m so proud to be alongside. What a talented bunch we are!
(Bad floristry pun there 😬😂)
Thank you again. Lots of love from me.

The wonderful Ellie & Sam got married at The Mill Barns Exclusive Use No Corkage Countryside Wedding Venue & Rooms in the summer.

The most stunning ivories, touches of peach and greens.

Ellie and Sam’s ideas were just wonderful! And I got to work with some beautiful materials. Just look at those Peonies and Delphinium 😍

We dressed the staircase with foliage and bud vases filled with flowers.
Showstopper milk churns to welcome their guests in to the ceremony.
Floral meadows and long and lows for the ceremony tables which were repurposed for their wedding breakfast.
Their centrepieces were mixed bus vases with candles placed on to gorgeous green table runners.

A wonderful day for a wonderful couple! 🌷🌿

H E L L O!
After a super busy weekend and a lovely influx of new followers I thought I should probably introduce myself.
My name is Steff (Stephanie on the birth certificate) and I am kick ass florist. (Do people even say that anymore? May have given you an insight to my age there).
Lover of leopard print, Lego and dinosaurs (and flowers obviously!)
Drinks what some may consider an unhealthy amount of Pepsi Max. Nervous laugher. Serial blusher. Somewhat easily influenced by Instagram ads.
If you’ve been here a while you’ll know that I always get stumped with these things, I never know what to say or what’s even interesting, I think that might mean I’m actually a little bit boring. If you’re new here, welcome and you’ll soon get used to me.
It’s very much me who suggests the “photo shoots” and then proceeds to spend them in fits of giggles. Can’t be scared to get on the floor make a bit of a tit out of yourself every now and again.

This was such a gorgeous set up ❤️

B U D S…
They’re definitely back!
I’m not sure they entirely went away but we have so many couples requesting bud vases for their weddings at the moment I thought I’d do a little post about them.
Whether they are to be placed around your wedding venue or used as wedding centrepieces you can’t go wrong.
They do need to be there with purpose though! 1 on it’s own is not going to cut it.
For centrepieces it would be a minimum of 3 with some other bits and pieces added. 5 look great!
Again, if they are to be dotted around the venue, make sure they are filling the space. A side table may only need 2 or 3 but for a fireplace it could be up to 10 or 12. Make sure it doesn’t look like they’ve been left there by accident.
And my final top tip for bud vases is use different styles and heights. It really does make all the difference. (Don’t panic, I literally have hundreds of the things 😊)

Holly & Sam got married this summer at Pendrell Hall Exclusive Use No Corkage Country House Wedding Venue & Rooms.

Purples, lilacs and all the shades in between with ivories.

Holly carried a cascading bouquet while her bridesmaids hand hand tied versions.

They opted for an outdoor ceremony so we also decorated the bandstand and tied flowers to every chair lining the aisle.

To welcome their guests we created a beautiful garland on the staircase which was filled with highly scented materials.

Guest tables were vase arrangements which had been supplied by Holly and Sam so I just filled them with all of the wonderful flowers I’d used throughout the wedding. Those peonies were absolutely stunning!

We are just over 3 months on from the date but as always I hope they had a wonderful day 🌷🌿
